Very well-researched and written article. It seems that the end of the road for the WAC is around a corner not so far down the road. It's also not a far stretch to see a complete re-organization of the WAC into an upper FCS conference in football with member teams forming an upper mid-major alignment that could affect the Big Sky (and some of its current members).

Interesting times ahead. If the BSC added more teams surely it will go to a split conference and how would that affect the playoffs ? Stayed tuned folks.

The Western Athletic Conference is struggling to maintain viability and is having some difficulty adding membership to ensure stability. Some of us have been in conversation with the Big Sky Conference regarding membership, and we have been approached by at least one other conference to consider membership for our Olympic sports.

Honestly, that'd be a great add. Particularly from a basketball perspective. And I think they could actually compete at football, as opposed to their current situation.
