I personally think the entire coaching staff should go and all of you so called experts on egriz could be hired in their places and then we could see how well we would do with the "real experts" doing the coaching and recruiting. Or maybe better yet hire Stitt back!!

Stitt couldn't even get us to the playoffs and if he did it was 1 n done. Griz were quickly dropping down to a doormat team. A stitt team would have lost to cal Poly, ewu, and psu. Let's be real. That guy was garbage. Do none of you remember the product of his coaching? Was God awful. Especially defense. Remember almost every team passing for over 400 yards on us and gashing us with the run as well? Lmao

We wouldn't have been in the playoffs this year if they hadn't been expanded. So again, whats the difference?

Or...all the teams moving up...FCS is soooo watered down.

Just curious, would any Griz fan be upset IF we hired a new head coach, and started anew from ground zero. New offensive scheme. New defensive scheme. Etc. For me, it would provide a shot of expectations for better things to come, instead of wondering every season if things will improve under Hauck.

Why is Stitt's name part of the discussion? Might as well include Delaney too. Both were ridiculous hires. Move on. We deserve better here, and there no reason we shouldn't be playing for National Championships with the right guy leading our program.

I think Hauck embodies Griz football but he needs to surround himself with the next generation of "coach" that is looking to establish their name.

This. Hauck is a great HC but, he's surrounded himself with good ol boys. He needs to take note of what a lot of NFL teams have done and look to someone young and upcoming. I feel like if we just got a new Oc, Qb coach, and O Line coach this team would be able to hang with the top of the top. Our defense got tired and fatigued, which any defense will when your offense consistently gives the ball right back to the other team. Our defense rarely had fresh legs and when they did, that's when we had big blowout games. If we can get some decent coaches at those positions, we will be in good hands.

He beat South Dakota State in the playoffs in ā€˜15. Not a SEMO (or whatever the fuck that is) or a SELA. He beat NDSU. Something Bobby seems incapable of. Throwing shade on Stitt in a lame attempt to prop up Hauck is just a fools errand.

And as far as ā€œdropping down to a doormatā€, what do you call consecutive 3rd, 4th and 6th place finishes in the Big Fluffy? That isn’t a great #RTD #DOLA trend either is it?

All it takes for some of these posters is to have Bobby come-up with some lame saying, like RTD, or Fight-on, and they have an accident in their jeans. Of course, it never happens on the field.

To be fair Stitt and the 2015 beat them at home in a barn burner where their qb went down and the bison had no film on him or our team that was worth any thing as it was a kickoff game in his first season, and subsequently they got obliterated in the playoffs in bisonville. Our team is much more deep and balanced now. Yeah we didn’t take a stab at 30 skill guys to get one like Toure or Akem, but our overall team talent is much better now as well as our speed and we didn’t sacrifice at too many positions like the defense was sacrificed when Stitt was here.

However, if Bobby is serious about winning a championship he will take a hard look at himself and his staff, and if he’s honest with himself or his staff he will make changes that are due. We all know stubbornness and hubris are his weaknesses. I hope Kent is doing his own evaluation and if they are not on the same page come next season, that leash needs to start shortening and that seat needs to be heating up. I would not rely on Bodner for anything as he’s focused on the product off the field and not necessarily on it.

It is Bodnar. I was accused of being a Bobcat troll for spelling his name like you did. Just sayin'

You don’t think we’ve sacrificed at O-line? QB? Safety? There’s plenty of holes…just maybe in different places. We pissed and moaned about Stitt’s failures in O-line recruiting. Bobby has done virtually nothing to fix that in 5 years. His vaunted 3-3-5 performs EXACTLY like Stitt’s D did…puts up gaudy numbers against subpar teams, folds like a tent against any team that’s got a pulse. Same shit different day. Just the other side of the coin. 3rd, 4th & 6th place BSC finishes. 4-4 in conference in year FIVE. We’ve been conditioned to accept mediocrity in the name of Hauckness….

Good catch. I don’t really care about how I am perceived on here given the amount of pettiness, infighting and trolls. I take a pretty honest approach with my views which are subjective like anyone else’s. I try and use objective measures when forming those views though. I love griz football, enjoy my season tickets, enjoy these players, enjoy finishing above .500 regularly now and want to see higher levels of success.

Bodnar point blank said during brawl week that he tells people (who are shocked to hear it) that his goal of the athletics programs are not winning championships, but to produce successful community leaders and role models. To that I simply say why can’t both of those ideals be part of our goals and work together???

Montana til I die
Go Griz

Have we given 2/3 of our scholarships to skill guys and ā€œathletesā€? I don’t think we’ve willingly not taken shots at qb’s. We had 5 on the roster this season and several converted to other positions.

I know you love hammering the conference finishes but we’re not within one score when we play the bottom feeders every game like we were with Stitt. You can say we were in 2021 when we didn’t have any RB’s left.

I agree the 3-3-5 has run it’s course and may have worked better when the entire league was running spread concepts. Definitely has been exposed time and again.

Also look at my last paragraph. I agree wholeheartedly changes are in order if this staff is capable and if it is not changes need to occur from above. Nobody is accepting mediocrity. Most fans on this board want to see greater success. However, I will never understand either side of the aisle that either loves or hates Bobby. However, he is our HC currently and we should look at the things that can change under his control until it is no longer his to control.

Just out of curiosity why can’t we be more flexible in the base defense that we run? I understand you can tweak the base 3-3-5 to be somewhat adaptive but it seems apparent that it can not handle the run first teams with the QB being a large and in some case focal part of the offense. I am not a knowledgeable X’s and O’s guy but it seems there is a lot of off season and some in season time so why can’t the defense be taught the 3-3-5 to employ against selected teams and another base defense for those run heavy teams (MSU, NDSU etc)?

Actually, the answer to your first question is yes. Bobby loves him some ā€˜athletes’ that he believes he can mold into whatever position he needs. Rarely works, honestly.

Changes are in order, but don’t hold your hand on your ass waiting for them. Bobby has a long history of NOT making changes unless absolutely forced to.
