Rhode Island (19-3, undefeated in conference, ranked #18) is beating the crap out of Davidson (13-9 and supposedly a pretty good team).
The Atlantic-10 is ranked about #10 in conference RPI, although only Davidson gets much respect from the pundits. The Rams are currently #5 in RPI and #26 in BPI. It looks like they will continue to be successful through the rest of their schedule. And the A-10 has enough credibility that it might get two bids if RI gets bounced in the conference tournament. But will it? That's the question that haunts teams not in the top-five (or so) conferences.
