Eliminate goalies in soccer & hockey

Soccer & hockey would become much more exciting if the respective goalies were eliminated. Perhaps shrink the size of the goals, as well. First, there would be higher scores, generating much more interest for American audiences. Second, there would be less time between scores, resulting in faster-paced games. Like many Americans, I'm not into the nuances of these games between scores, as people are in other countries. Oh, yeah, this guy or gal pulls off this remarkable play, but what does it mean if there's no score?

Could you explain this a little more? In soccer, I think a goal from the field be worth 2 points & a free kick be worth 1 point. Kind of like basketball.
 
It would just be better if the USA made a world law outlawing soccer.

You play you die, no three strikes and your out.

and i think we should get rid of the defensive line in football. think how many points the offense would rack up. and outfielders in baseball. after all, all those pesky catches they make out there really hinder the high scoring.
