thanks for posting the article. as i've read here earlier, it says marcus knight has bulked up quite a bit. it seems to me that in the past there were one or two really good rb's who did that, lost a step, or maybe agility, and weren't as effective as before. hope this isn't the case with him, but whenever i read that an rb bulked up a lot, i want to see how they do before considering it a good move.

i'm looking forward to see what akem can do, in my opinion he was a more dynamic receiver than toure in the past. no disrespect to toure, who was great, but akem always struck me as um's best receiver, when he wasn't injured, and sometimes even when he was. as for the rest, i guess we'll see. few of us here will be critical of coaching decisions, due to all the bobby-luv, but now he doesn't have the services of some of the 'other' bob's receiver recruiting skills. i guess we'll see what happens there...

regardless, it is good to see an actual football-focused article, after all this time.

Yes I would say that Akem is and was better than Toure and it is not even close. But it would still be nice to have both. Griz have other good receivers and will be fine

This is what I thought all along and was saying in real time. Don't how many times I said: "Let the boys play." One of numerous overeactions in the US.

“Hindsight’s easy, you know, we should have played in the fall, but that wasn’t what we thought at the time as a conference. So, that’s the way it goes,” Montana coach Bobby Hauck said Friday before the team's first practice. “But no, this feels real normal. It’s what we do this time of year. We did get some great practices and some great scrimmaging and great work done in the fall even though it wasn’t in front of a crowd against another opponent. So, this just feels normal as heck.”
