WTF does that mean? We've played UW, NDSU and UNI in the last two years, and Oregon next year, along wit UNI again. I swear to God, some people are just NEVER happy.
Oklahoma PanHandle State
Central Washington
San Diego
Saint Francis
Mississippi Valley State
Valparaiso
Savanah State
First off, the Griz didn't schedule San Diego, the NCAA did. But thanks for playing. Secondly, EVERYBODY plays a cupcake once in a while. Those DII's you have on there, were a long ass time ago. The Griz haven't played a DII on their schedule in several years now and won't going forward either. Secondly, you obviously are a newer fan, otherwise you would remember the absolute cupcakes the Griz played in the Don Read days, the likes of mighty Carson-Newman, Minnesota-Duluth and New Mexico Highlands. Saint Francis, San Diego and Valpo would have blasted those teams by 30 points.
You also make it sound as if the Griz asked the Big Sky to remove EWU as their protected rival. If that's what you're implying, you are so far off base I can't help you. Idaho made it a demand for joining the Big Sky that Montana be one of its protected rivals. The conference conceded that to them. What the hell was Montana and the Big Sky supposed to do then? Drop Montana State from the Griz' schedule?? Come on man. Get a clue. The Griz are still going to play Eastern Washington, but it will now be up to the Big Sky's rotation, and isn't a given anymore. That's the conference we live in right now, and it's not Montana's fault, Kent Haslam's fault or Bob Stitt's fault. Actually, Kent and his staff have continued to put together amazing schedules the last few years and already have tons of great games on the books for the future.
One more thing, the Griz only had Valpo scheduled this season, but McNeese State cancelled a two-year deal with the Griz, and Kent was left with Savannah State. Man, do a little homework about your favorite team.
