Early signing period

Not soon enough for hopefully a little "hope" that this isn't the team that will take the field next year.

So should I take that as you want this team just a year older to be the 2019 team?

Take it how you want, but pinning your hopes on a bunch of kids that are playing high school football this year is probably not a plus. You should probably hope some of the kids redshirting pan out.

Hoping for some JC signings at early period. I dont see any high school signings being what the doctor ordered for 2019

Not sure pinning your hopes on a couple JC kids for a sudden fix is a good idea either.

2019 is a year for grizzly player development. It's not realistic to think the griz can compete for a Big Sky title or even consider sneaking into the playoffs. I'm guessing Bobby knows this and will play players accordingly. Best idea is to plan for hopefully being a contender in 2020, but most likely target 2021 to make some noise.

By a rough count I see 11 seniors and about 33 freshmen on the roster. This will be Hauck's team next year and we damn well should expect to see him bring in some cavalry to help this them. We're young. We will be better. Just beat the cats this season, OK?

And maybe, just maybe, consider a new OC and DC while your at it Mr. Hauck...

OC def ain’t happenin’....I guess if Baer dies he’d have to replace him...

I think everyone should temper their expectations on the early signing period. There is not a bunch of FBS transfers coming in on their magic carpets during that time. With the new rules in place you just won’t see that as much. We will sign some high school kids; most won’t contribute in their first year. We might get a couple juco kids but they seem to be cautious with those types of kids. Point being the improvement for next year begins with those underclassmen we have right now.

Probably. That way he can continue to tell everybody just how bad the Griz are.
