Are we the only team with injuries? SUU had three defensive starters out pre-game, including a first-team All Big Sky LB. They lost three other defensive starters and two offensive starters to injury during the game.

Bobby has always preached "next man up". He has also stated that this is the first season where we have quality back-ups at every position. Just another excuse for poor play.

I have to agree with this post. Even if you allow for shitty refs, the Griz WERE offsides five times…Beaver deserved the unsportsmanlike penalty (and the hold). I’ve not seen a Griz team with this lack of composure in…..ever?

We had Forbes back at center, Robertson back full-time at safety, Ostmo (although strangely for just one carry), and even Cam back for a period of time and STILL couldn’t put this shit team away.

No excuses. Griz flat out sucked yesterday.

Can't disagree with anything you wrote

This place cracks me up!
After sac st loss griz posters saying Cats going to steam roll Griz
After Idaho wait maybe the Griz have found their QB they will be ok against the cats.
After SUU Bobby and staff don't care, akem don't care coaches too old to recruit and cats going to steam roll Griz.

How many different o-line combinations have we had this year?
How many RB's have we lost this year?
How many Wrs have been injured?
How much continuity has this offense had in practice and in games this year with all the injuries?

Very undisciplined play by a very frustrated defense that probably feels like they need to carry the team.
Not a good game in any way however the Griz won and are still in playoff contention.

Cats fans enjoy the Griz struggles, post away on your rivals board, Glass half empty Griz fans gnash your teeth and post your thoughts on how bad your team is. Just remember the season is not over and maybe just maybe the Griz get it together and beat the cats and make a playoff run.
GO Griz.

You're no fun at all. So I cried myself to sleep last night for Nothing, dammit.......

Do you all expect Bobby to rip his players via the press? With the amount of really young players playing in key positions and the amount vitriol that is posted on forums like this and from many in the crowd his main objective might be to lift these players up. I don't think the issue with the Griz right now is effort it is confidence. Bobby and his assistant coaches have been through enough battles over the years to know what approach to have right now. That doesn't mean he has lost his edge or doesn't care. We can all bitch but the coaches and players are the ones putting forth the effort. These are kids. Lighten up (all you) Francis's.

outside of Bergen & Harris, most if not all of these guys have been in the program 2, 3, and 4 years. At what point are they not "young" anymore and open to criticism? Ever?

I mean, Grossman is a RS freshman, but a senior in college. Brown is a junior. Belknap and Cotton are grad transfers (and maybe a couple others as well). The list goes on and on....if their egos are bruised from message board bullshit, are they really cut out to be football players?

And to answer your first question: I don't expect him to rip his players publicly. That's never really been Bobby's way....

So the running back carrying the ball the majority of the time is a 170 lb freshman that came in as a receiver. Brown has not played a game since high school. And he has improved each game. Same with Grossman. And Grossman is playing great. Take the top four running backs off the board on any Big Sky team and that offense will struggle. Especially one that is a run first play action team. My point is that these kids are not pro athletes.. and so yea in a small college environment (which UM is)I think it is detrimental for all this negative shit to be constantly posted. I have heard Brown has no social media so good for that kid. But kids today read this stuff as do parents of potential players. So yea I think it is bad thing that grown ass men get on message boards and rip college kids. Criticism of coaches is part of the deal at any level. Even though most of it on here is pretty ridiculous.
