Damn, i hate keeping this going but the statements from you Growler just get more outrageous. SO, while I know you want do it, I can't help myself, so here goes. Can you please provide links to clips from the national television segments that have been done on UM's rogue football program? I must have missed those on ESPN, ESPN News, CNN, Real Sports with Bryant Gumble and all the other national tv outlets that ran these so-called segments.

They do re-runs up on the highline? If I have to explain all of this to you, you obviously have been out-of-touch on this stuff for several years. I don't waste my time trying to prove a truth to a naysayer like you. Go look it up yourself. Every informed Griz fans knows it is true, so what does that make you?

For someone who does not care, you sure waste a lot of keystrokes commenting on my posts. Please put me on "ignore" and save the wear-and-tear.

I HAVE LOOKED IT UP N I AM PLENTY WELL PLUGGED INTO THE NATIONAL MEDAI...FACE IT, WHAT YOUR POSTING IS A LIE GROWLER. NONE OF THE PRINT OR TELEVISION OUTLETS I HAVE LISTED RAN THE STORIES YOUR CLAIMING THEY HAVE. YOU ARE MAKING THIS STUFF UP.

It was a feature story on humility.

You wouldn't understand about accomplishment. Humility is for wannabees. I am proud of what I have accomplished. I did it without inheriting a dime, or getting financial help from anyone. It was the American dream of having a good idea, taking risk, working my arse off, and watching it grow into something big. I have also been humbled by having a company that I started go bankrupt. This is what Obama is trying to squelch in this country, and why we are in such bad shape as a nation.

Sounds like someone around here is so scared of death that he clings to life by uttering such grandiose and pompous hyperboles about himself and his accomplishments that after a while it just gets really, really tiresome. How about realising that the "Mind," consciousness as such, is an emanation of the 'Adi-Buddha' sometime? Ever realised that one before?

O.K., should of known; probably got it framed and certified by a Notary Public from somewhere between here and there and you have a coupon from the back of some magazine in order to get the certificate hanging on your wall somewhere thereabouts. My bad.

Bullsh*t. There have been several other posters on here who have heard the Sportcenter segment, and read the articles. You don't know what you are talking about.

"scared of death" and "clings to life"???    You must have majored in drama at UM, right? 8-)

ESPN has a nice little search tool that you can rewatch every single sportscenter back to 2008. I wonder why then, when you search Montana Grizzlies, does it not have this segment you're talking about? Hmmm..I guess Jim O'Day must have had ESPN take it down. Anyway, this has run its course, once again, you offered NO proof to back up your nut-job talk. And since this is a thread about Maus' DUI, I'll return it to it, thinking he should be dismissed from the team, but I'm sure he won't be.

Does anyone know if we have dismissed team members for other misdemeanors in the past or is it only felonies that result in immediate dismissal?

Good job, HavGriz. As you and most everyone knows, G1 makes up or lies about virtually everything he says on the board.

Not that I need to respond to Growler because he did NOTHING to back up his claim that there have been ARTICLES written, but I'll do it anyway. First, as I stated before, all I asked for was for him to support his claim that "articles even being written by the national sports media about the off-field problems with Montana colleges". His words not mine. No actual articles have been on ESPN.COM. Posts on the ticker ARE NOT ARTICLES. And neither is the huffington post. I'm well aware of how popular the huff post and many blogs like it are and how much they are read. And I read the entire COLUMN about the Griz that was posted there. That's the difference. Growler claims legitimate articles are being written about the University of Montana football team by NATIONAL sports media, and all I'm doing is refuting that. An OPINION blog is NOT a news article, no matter how many people read it. Is it a powerful medium? perhaps. But it's still an opinion column/blog, just like ones that have appeared on deadspin, TMZ and one written by Pat Forde of ESPN. That was my whole point. As far as I know, ESPN.COM, Sports Illustrated, the USA Today, The New York Times, the L.A. Times, the Sporting News, the Chicago Tribune or the Miami Herald to name a few have yet to print an actual story chronicling the troubles at UM, and my decision to point that out and refute Growler's claim to the contrary has no bearing on how I personally feel about UM football player's recent legal problems.

You are trying way too hard to discredit my post, and, when you do that, it is very obvious that you are spinning your argument by focusing on minutia and technicalities rather that addressing the major point of my post, which is that frequent transgressions of our football players are creating a poor image of our football programs at UM and MSU. Since you don't freakin get it, i'll try to dumb-it down for you.

The national media, which includes TV, talk radio, as well as print, picked up on the continued criminal problems of both Montana universities, and either wrote about it, discussed it in a TV segment, or discussed it in live radio sports talk. This unwanted negative publicity caused considerable negative focus on our two state schools, created a thug-program image of us in areas of the country where they know nothing about our programs, and caused several of my friends from back East to phone me the ask what is going on with Montana's football team? Now, if you don't believe that the continued actions by athletes at these two schools have cast a negative light on our state, and its two football programs, you are truly beyond reason, in denial, and drinking Kool-Aid laced with confectioners 10X!

Now, spin this!

The "national media" you know seems to be sort of like the mythical and all powerful "liberal"media that I have been searching for over a period of decades. Try as I might, I have never found it and to my chagrin, have not seen a mention of the goings on at UM....now a racist judge, in Billings, or crazy wing nuts in the Kalispell area, that seems to give an image of Montana few really cherish. but is is in the 'new now.l.

You are so dense, and your agenda to discredit me makes you look even more stupid. If you take the time to re-read what I posted about this topic, you would understand that the segment was NOT about MONTANA GRIZZLIES. The topic was about the criminal activities that athletes from BOTH MONTANA UNIVERSITIES had. It discussed the Wilson murder, the drug-related murder in Bozeman by Cat athletes, as well as all of the other criminal activities from these two schools.

There were many Griz posters who saw the segment. It it not a big secret. Keep spinning and trying. You're only making yourself look more stupid all of the time.

I have had several buddies from around the nation ask me about what the hell is going on with our athletic program after watching this segment. They know nothing about Montana sports. Go figure, huh?

Growler....maybe you are correct and something did appear in the national media. Do you really think many people on a national basis are concerned about the athletic programs at UM or MSU?

When I saw this thread was bumped, I figured yet another player got arrested last night.

I'm happy to see it's just the usual bitching and moaning, for once. :thumb:

And of course the truth is now out about running from yourself out the back door of the Mo Club.

Just having some fun diggy.............I always laugh when people accuse me of multiple screen names on here so I just go along with it.

Maybe I speak for just a few, but I believe that MOST Griz fans care about the national image of our university. I remember how proud I was in the 1990s and 2000s when our team was excelling on the field, and also being honored for having one of the highest graduation rates, and highest team GPA in the the nation. People DID know that on a national basis.

What are we know for now? If you don't think that the thugism committed by athletes at both state schools the past 10 years has put a black cloud over our respective programs, then you are living in denial. With UM, it all started with Hauck. He wanted to win so badly in his tireless quest to get a big-time head coaching job, that he recruited some questionable players, and openly welcomed every IA mis-fit kicked off their team.
