:o :o Montana has 9 players who have to play well to continue their season. Matt Dlouhy has continued to improve. Earlier in the year he lead the defensive energy and was not certain of getting playing time. Early in the year he came up short on his dunks, but they were fun to watch. Dlouhy leads the team in steals and his dunks have become spectacular, frequent and reliable. Dlouhy has a real nice three point shot. He makes the guards better because he is active and can help bring the ball up and he makes the big guys better because he can rebound, dunk, shoot the three, play defense, receive a pass and pass. He makes the crowd and his team mates better. Matt Dlouhy for most improved player of the year and if he keeps it going for the All Big Sky Conference Tournament Team. Dlouhy leads the team in playing time recently. If you have not seen Dlouhy play recently you are missing quite a show. Dlouhy is a not too strong looking 6-6 skinny sophomore but he is quick and he can jump.

Dlouhy can make a difference. along with Easley, Mathews, Farr, Martin, Strait, Davis, Seyfert, Criswell. :o :o

:o :o Dlouhy shoots .429 from three .445 overall and .734 from the line. 2nd leading rebounder. Most rebounds, steals, games. Not a lot of turnovers. Gets some nice blocks. :o :o

I agree, Dlouhy is FUN to watch. He has been a big contributor this season in a number of ways: 3 point shooting, steals, and rebounding. Nobody does a better job of bringing the crowd to it's feet than he does when he gets one of his put back slams. And in the words of Keith Jackson, he's only a soph-o-more!

I can't believe the kid is a walk-on! How did he not get offers from some Pac-10 schools or even EWU, ISU MSU...or even Gonzaga is crazy.

Sure am glad He is a Griz though.

Got the feeling that our B-Ball team is on a major up swing......Now if we could keep our Football team at the top.....

Dlouhy is an exceptional player and a great person off the court. I am looking forward to watching him in the upcoming years. He will almost surely get honorable mention all-conference next season, but for him to improve his game to that next level he needs to put some meat on that girly frame. His weakness allows even the smallest guards in the league to push him around as they please. It is fair to say he is probably the weakest player in the BigSky. Get stronger and his game will go to the next level.

:o :o Thats exactly what I do not want to watch is a Fat Dlouhy. I have seen that before. We had one fine freshman player from Butte MT at one point in time and they fed him and he never reached his potential. They have to catch Dlouhy before they can push or feed him and there is no catching him now. :o :o

Dlouhy was given the chance to walk on at Gonzaga. However, he knew that Adam Morrison (same year, same postion, probably NBA talent) was going to Gonzaga and that influenced his decision. He's on scholarship now by the way.
