Lofing is a great pick up, but I don't think you have to go back to Mandy or Shannon to find an equally important recruit- Pickens was a 2X Gatorade player of the year and a top 100 recruit (and ended up being NAIA National Player of the Year).
Jamie was a great recruit to get and I absolutely wish she would have stayed to complete her career as a Lady Griz because she was a program type player. However, she didn’t and had a great Carroll career instead. Potentially being a great Lady Griz versus actually having a good or great career is a big difference. Makenzie Johnston wasn’t a Gatorade POY but had a great career. 1st Team all conference and 1000 point scorer. I wish Dani could have stayed healthier too. She had a great career as you indicated.
Don't wish to malign their teammates but along with Dani, McKenzie Johnston and Carmen Gfeller are often now overlooked Griz All Stars because their GrizWBB teams did not win. McKenzie is ranked 8th on the GrizWBB 1000 points list, Carmen (I believe) at 5th.
The last great one was MacKenzie Johnston. There have been great Montana recruits but only a few have met expectations in the last fifteen years or so.
