Didn't see this posted, sorry if I missed it:

Is it just me, or did the assistants get a much better bonus structure this time?

I'd read on here that was what Hauck was negotiating for. Good to see that seems to be the case.

Just totaled it all up. If the Griz have the same record next year, beat UND in the regular season, keep up their academics, and host all three games in the playoffs (through the semifinals), and Bobby is Big Sky Coach of the Year, Bobby will make $532,000 (fall short in the championship game again) or $607,000 (if they win it all).

I know, a lot of ifs, but that's taking it all to the max (other than Bobby winning the Eddie Robinson Award--if so, add another $5,000 to those numbers).

Out of curiosity, does anybody know what the assistant coaches make as a base salary?

Not nearly as much as you would think, or as much as they should be paid for all of the hours they put in. I'm not going to put actual numbers out there, because that is their business, but its not enough.

I believe I remember hearing him say this last time too. With the quality end experience our staff had then, higher pay for assistants was very important. I think I remember hearing years ago that assistants made like 30-40k. I’m sure it’s more now but still no where near what FBS schools can pay theirs.

Thx for crunching the numbers.

Good on Bobby for looking out for his guys. Still not what it should be for the assistants, but better. 👏
