MISSOULA - Doug and Anita Selvig played basketball for the University of Montana in the 1980s and are excited to have their son, Derek, doing the same right now.
But they didn't put pressure on their now 7-foot son during the recruiting process.
"We just wanted him to experience some different schools and make that choice on his own," Doug said. "Once he made the choice, obviously we were pretty happy with it."
"Probably in the back of our minds we were rooting for Missoula," Anita confessed.
