Jordan Johnson will be at the helm and will give the Griz 4 0r 5 more wins this year; and a lot (not all) will be forgotten about last year. Mick did come into a cluster, but in the end he is responsible for the decisions that his assistants make. You surround your self with coaches that have the same basic coaching philosophy as you, and like a corporation, you hope that they don't make decisions that will harm your company. If I remember right, it was eighteen yards off the line ( I measured) on the punt coverage, and it happened twice. SUU adjusted to it and the coaching staff for the Griz didn't. Mick should have been on top of the call, as he is the head coach.

Last year was a cluster, but Mick would never use that as an excuse for the 5-6 record. Other than Jordan and a few skill players, the program that is in place has the depth to overcome the mediocrity of last year. Mick knows that. If what happened last year happens this year though, a change should be made. It won't. The defense will get a rest because of Jordan Johnson and the consistency of the offense.

Probably...

So what you are saying is that the presence of JJ will overshadow any ineptness of the coaching staff and lead UM to a 9 win season?

Yep. Griz would have won 8 or 9 last year with JJ, he's that good. JJ back, much improved D and improved coaching this year and I'm comfortable predicting 9 wins, 8 at least.

I've heard you guys say that JJ is "worth" anywhere from 2 to 6 games... LAST YEAR. Talk about hypothetical logic. Yes, he's a better QB than what you has last year, but there's no way in hell you can claim that it's a given he would have given you X more wins... and you sure as hell can't say that he's going to guarantee you X number of wins than what you had last year. Each game is different, each season is different. Your SCHEDULE is considerablyy different.

All that being said, I agree with your prediction, and that's what I've been saying all along. You'll end up anywhere from 7-5 to 10-2 best case. likely 8-4 or 9-3. Bubble playoff team, and on the outside looking in for the conference title. MSU, Cal Poly, and EWU will vie for the title, with UM, NAU, and Sac not far behind. Look for Southern Utah to be the possible dark horse.

PS - I think the talent level on the griz will be equal to the top three teams I mentioned... the difference that puts all three of those teams above UM IMO is coaching.

Yeah, they'll either go 7-5, 8-4, 9-3, or 10-2...whey to go out on a limb.

In your parlance, does "multiple times" mean twice?

It means "more than once", you moron.

Not necessarily. If you Google "definition of multiple", you get this first:

mul·ti·ple
/ˈməltəpəl/
Adjective
Having or involving several parts, elements, or members.

If you then Google, "definition of several", you then get this first:

sev·er·al
/ˈsev(ə)rəl/
Adjective
More than two but not many: "the author of several books"; "Van Gogh was just one of several artists who gathered at Auvers".
Separate or respective: "their several responsibilities".

Those two, combined, say "multiple" means more than two. Other definitions say multiple means more than one.

Why are you never right, or completely right, on anything? I suppose because you're a Bobcat troll.

So there is no such thing as multiples of 2?

Funny how the majority of the most ardent Delaney supporters seem to be from Butte...

Thats because we know what a hard worker and stand up guy Mick is. What you see is what you get, nothing fake about the guy and last year is still burning inside him. Nobody hated losing more than Mick and he is driven to redeem himself as HC and also get the Griz back on top where they belong. I'm all for putting last season behind us and giving Mick a clean shot now that he has been the guy for over a year now and not just thrown into the middle of a shitstorm like last year. It would be cool if our crybaby fanbase would give the man the same consideration, but I doubt that will happen.

What you see is what you get? So if we see Mick as a lousy HC then that's what he is. Nothing fake about him. Ok. I like your logic. Enough excuses. Mick either wins or he is out.

Yes...The HUGE improvement at "Q" will overcome the buffoonery moves from under the headset. I set the over/under at "9" over a month ago. :egriz:

The punt defense certainly wasn't 18 yards off the line of scrimmage, or even close to the that--if that is what you were saying.
No... but they turned their backs to the punter to help set up Peter Fumble on an anticipated return...except the punter didn't punt it  ...enter Blinky the clown :silly:

Are you referring to Peter Nguyen, the UM team MVP and second team all-Big Sky running back?

What's your nickname for Moore? He had more fumbles than Nguyen, even though he didn't play in 5 games when he was injured.

S.U.U. back breaker or game changer....take your pick. :grenade: Champion inopportune extraordinare...he'd give up his pink ribbon coughs for a win...granted. but it is what is. I can't draw you a picture with more clarity...? Want me to pull out the crayola crayons Zib ??(p.s. multiple t.o.'s against e.w.u. his soph. yr.)

I remember him as a pretty good guy in high school but, even in Butte, when it was the athletic powerhouse of the NW, I never saw a coach have his team kick off to start both halves. That was downright upsetting.

Also, UM called Mick, he didn't call UM. He was perfectly content to golf everyday, but UM ASKED him to come and coach the team.
Well that's reassuring since UM administration has such a great track record as of late.

He was the team MVP. Do you understand what MVP means. Stop spewing BS. Those fumbles didn't cost UM the games. They were part of numerous bad and weak plays. UM lost 3 fumbles against EWU, and lost the onside kick. A pick against SUU, and then the famous punt defense formation. You truly are an idiot.
