Coach Delaney says there's been "a lot of crap" and rumors floating around Griz program, but far more positives

Delaney says he still doesn't know why Pflugrad and O'Day were fired and "probably never will"

Delaney: "We've had some things happen, but we're moving forward"

Delaney: "We won't be quite as aggressive defensively as coach Breske was. We probably won't take as many chances"

Delaney: "Will we change much from what Robin did on offense? No."

Timm and I like to use the tight ends a lot; we will have a lot of 2 TE packages and some 3 TE packages. I'd use 4 or 5 if I could.

Timm and I like the quick short passing game with 3 step drops. We like to neutralize the blitzes and rush.

Tripp is 243 lb now with 4.5% body fat, and maybe the second fastest player on the team. Our linebacking is going to be supurb.

JJ is 5'11", 188 lb. and the kind of leader that DD was. His availability remains uncertain.

We have a good shot at a 6'6" WSU dropdown TE that visited last week; he's available because Leach doesn't use TEs. His other option is D2 Bball.

I had 3.5 shollies left and used 2.5 to reward established players to increase their level of support because they earned it. This is something I intend to do more than BH or RP did.

I could not agree more. I love the fact that he calls it like he sees it and is not giving the patent politically correct - mind numbing answers that other head coaches are accustomed to. Some on this board have questioned his statements and abilities. Questions all you like. The guy has more than paid his dues and I like the fact that he is much older than your average HC. He does not have to worry about his coaching future, income and future contracts $$'s. The kids respect him and will play their as&&s off for him and it appears the other coaches respect him as well. We have great assistants, high caliber players and an awesome fan base. My prediction is more of the same (in a positive way). Win, win and win. Good luck Coach!

The official Griz rosters have Johnson at 6-1, 202. I figured someone was full of shit. I'm surprised after seeing the broadcasts of ground-level cameras, and shots of him standing on the the sideline looking 5-9 running backs in the eye, that Jordan reaches 5-11... maybe on his tippy toes.

Does QB height at UM really matter? Depends on the offense on a particular play, I think. Ok, a 3-step drop w/ 2 or 3 TEs, I can see a tall QB (Nate?). A spread-option w/ the QB running either side, pitching off, passing, etc.? What has QB height to do w/ that?

3 outof the 4 tight ends noted in a comment above and relisted below are at UW not WSU and are not going anywhere. Hudson, Hartvigson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins (ASJ) are all at UW. ASF is one of the best tight ends in the country and also played hoops for the Huskies. I dont know about Boker - he could be at WSU.

QB height comes up often re: UM QBs in eGriz. Why is that so important to you guys? Why would it help if JJ were 6'3" or 6'4"? What does it matter that JJ is 5-9, 5-11, 6-0 or 6-1? Geezus. In this offense, if "smaller" means faster or more nimble, then yes, we do want a smaller QB.
