Here's the thing. Ferris State just DOES. NOT. LOSE.

In the previous 9 seasons and this partial season, they are 102-11. And six of THOSE losses came in the DII playoffs. Just FOUR conference losses. So, four conference losses, six playoff losses, and this loss to the Griz. That's IT.

In the last 9 years they've not finished LOWER than 6th in the DII polls.

And by the way, their HC, Tony Annese (who was campaigning for Bobby's job! lol) is measly 147-22 as a head coach. 2 DII championships, 2 DII runnerup finishes, and 2 NJCAA championships.

De La salle high school won like 150 games from the early 90’s to early 2000’s. You should schedule them. They don’t lose either.

Not a bad idea. How was the Cowboy Hat game? THEY lose. A LOT.  In fact, 31-50 in the powerful Pioneer league under their current regime.

Can't we all agree how silly it is to look at the teams either team has played and keep throwing those things back and forth? In other words, honest question for you. Three games in, if the Cats play the griz tomorrow on an even field, who do you think wins?

Was scrolling through and saw Ferris beat Michigan tech 28-20 last year. Looks like tech went on to get crushed by St. thomas that new Pioneer league team…. I believe st thomas got crushed by SUU. Didn’t we laugh them out of the BSC?

Anyways, give De La Salle a shout! Since you like beating lower level teams “who don’t lose”.

I'll make a few phone calls...see what I can do. Hang onto those moral victories though. We had a lot of those last year...real powerful stuff.

What moral victories outside of MSU gifting UM CGD airtime did you have last season?

Without Tommy and in Missoula? (I know you said even field, but we aren't playing on an even field this year)

I think it could go either way.

Honestly, I think either Tommy or Sean can lead this team to a victory over the griz right now based on what I've seen out of both teams, how they've played, strengths and weakneses, so far. This is just what I see with my eyes and yes I am trying to not look at it with blue and gold shades. If that team I watched squeak by Ferris on Saturday (Not taking anything away from them because I am not an idiot fan that sees D2 and automatically discounts. I fully understand Ferris is a really good team and would probably be top 25 in the FCS), were traveling to Brookings this weekend I think you lose to the Jackrabbits on a game that's not as close as what the Cats showed.

Another thought I had on this. IMO the Cats have showed so far that they took a step forward from last year and are a better team all around - offense, defense, special teams. This was proven by how well we competed with SDSU at their place, whereas the last three meetings with one of the DSUs resulted in Cats getting pushed around the field.

Are the griz significantly better right now than what they were last year? From my view, they might be better on defense but time will tell on that. Offense? No way. Special teams? Same.

So last year the Cats blew the griz out of the water in aa game where the two teams didn't even look like they belonged on the same field. This year one team is better than they were last year and one team probably is about the same. Do the math - lol.

I saw what happened last time the bubs were in Missoula. Short of running Patrick Mahomes out there, I don't think they beat the GRIZ.

But it's even silly to talk about at this point.

The transitive property in scores a silly way of measuring two teams that haven't played. For all you know, the Griz played their worst game of the year against the Bulldogs and the Jacks played their worst game of the year against the cats.

I think we have some things we need to overcome, but I still think we'll beat you guys in Missoula this year, whether we look good doing it, or not.

Agree, pointless to talk about the past and future but it's a message board so that's what I'm gonna do! Agree, griz thumped the Cats last time in Missoula. Granted not anywhere near the domination of what the Cats did last year and in 2019. Fluke game where the Cats didn't really have an established QB, and obviously Tommy got promoted to QB after that debacle of a game, and the rest is history. But yes, the griz won fair and square.

Good job qualifying that loss. You're a hoot.

In Nov, the Griz win. They don’t play tomorrow.

Cats are not as good this year as last year. Your eyes don’t work because you don’t understand football.

Bwahahaha, that's precious! So in your expert opinion, exactly where do you think the Cats are not better than they were last year?

QB? Check
OL? Check
RB? Check
TE\FB? Check
Kicker\Punter\Returners? Check
WR's? Question mark, gotta get some players back

DL? Check
LB's? Maybe a push, Cal last year was a freak, but these LBs look really good so far. Definitely no worse than last year
Corner? Check
Safeties\Nickel? Maybe a push here, looking really good so far, D played very well against #1 team in the country.
