Dax Solis earned team most valuable player honors Saturday at the 24th annual Earl Barden All-Star Classic football game in Yakima.

Solis rushed for 47 yards for the West team, which fell to the East 20-12. The game featured players from 2A/A/2B/B high school classifications.

(WA bigger schools are 4A and 3A)
 
This is too bad, but people who haven't been around it have no idea what a full-time job college sports are (I didn't play, but have some people pretty close to me who did). I can tell you from them it is a shock to the system, no matter how "dedicated" they were in high school. Sometimes they arent' ready for that, or just decide there are other things that are more important.

I hope he comes back at some point, but if now, I wish him the best.
 
The long term impact on the brain is what is most at work here. CTE is a risk more and more are unwilling to take.
