Dave Dickenson Update

I was watching the BC vs Hamilton CFL game last night and heard the announcers say the Dave had gotten another concusion. They said it was the third for him in the last 21 months. He was avoiding looking at the computer screen or reading because it made him dizzy. I think if I was Dave I would be thinking about retiring. He is a classy guy and I hope he can continue his football career but I hope he doesn't cause damage to his health.

The Vancouver Sun has done a couple big stories on Dave's head injuries and concussions in general in the past week. It sure doesn't sound good. Officially, the Lions have him "sidelined indefinitely".
By early last week though, DD was on the radio in Vancouver telling fans he was getting better and that he thought he was close to a return. By Wednesday, he was off limits to the press.

Dave got rocked by a helmet-to-helmet hit two games ago. If there's one thing the Lions O doesn't do well, it's protect its quarterback. I've seen him play live a half dozen or so times at BC Place and the guy just get pummeled.
