Sleepless but jubilant Stamps return
Hufnagel announced today that he will return as Stampeders head coach for 2015 before handing the job to offensive co-ordinator Dave Dickenson.

“In order to put an end all the speculation and all the questions, I would like to clarify the matter once and for all by announcing that I will be returning for one more season on the sideline with the Stampeders,” said Hufnagel to Stampeders.com.

“In 2016, I will concentrate on the general manager’s duties and turn the head coach job over to Dave Dickenson, who has contributed greatly to our team’s success as offensive coordinator and has all the tools to be an excellent head coach in this league.”

Hufnagel says he'll remain as the team's general manager beyond next season.

The Stampeders are coming off a 20-16 win over Hamilton in Sunday's Grey Cup final.

It's Calgary's second CFL title since Hufnagel took over as head coach in 2008.

Dang...was a long shot anyway

Trying to hit a one-iron off concrete is a long shot. This was always no shot.

It's a league he excelled in and his family are all Canadian. The money is 2.5 times what he would make with the Griz. Plus side: Free health care, schools where the teachers get paid in money instead of chicken feed, and a city of 1,000,000 right up against the Rocky Mountains. (Picture a cleaner Denver without the douche bag Bronco fans. LOL). Downside; its Canada, so Death Panels to decide if you get free health care, the metric system (started by the Illuminati to bring in the New World Order), and the very real chance that your dog team will freeze, your igloo will collapse and you will be eaten by a polar bear.

On the upside the beer is way better.

Nice work for DD. If he's successful might he get a shot at the NFL? Maybe as an OC first?

I would crap my pants in happiness if Dave Dickinson became the OC of my Vikes.

Poppycock. Simply more propaganda to throw us off the trail.

Sources have it as a done deal;
Dickenson will be head coach, with Baldwin become OC, and Hauck DC. Book it.

The last sentence is a damned lie.

Damn funny stuff, Sask.

Man, the guy just has "it!"

That is a pretty rapid assent to head coach of a professional team. Not suprising though!

Why would we want him anyway, just because he was a good player doesn't mean he could be a head coach for the Griz..

Seriously though, congrats to DD. He is and will always be a class act. I'm sure he will have tremendous success in whatever he decides to do.

There are some excellent micro brews in the US and Montana in particular. But the massed produced beer (Coors Light, Bud, MGD, PBD and the excrementally bad Bud Light) are like making love in a canoe......fucking close to water.
