How many coaches at the Missoula Schools teach at that High School? I know at Capital that the entire defensive staff works at capital, a few other assistants teach at the feeder middle school. Of course there are also coaches who aren't teachers but it seems the more coaches in the building the better odds a school has.

I wish Dane the best, and hope Sentinel does not let the politics effect his coaching. The schools that let their coaches coach, and the head coach determine his staff are the ones that become successful. Unfortunately, the politics of HS coaching has torn down more or limited more programs, than it has helped. I know some very good coaches, in both Basketball, and Football, who are not coaching because of politics. It is a shame at way too many Montana high schools.

maybe someone already mentioned this, but a coaching staff that has stayed together a long time is a very important factor in winning championships. although Murphy has had a great run at Helena Capital with the 4 chippers, but he fell into the best of all jobs as that coaching staff at Capital has for the most part remained intact for at least a decade. the kids dont like changes and the comfort of knowing your going to have the same coach in the same successful system is a huge factor in the sucess of Capital.....

If I recall correctly, only two coaches on staff didn't attend capital, Murphy and one assistant.
