5'10", 228 lb Saunders ran over CSU all night. When they needed a yard, he would get 6. He's a soph, so we will likely see him in 2018. Idaho will be a load for the BSC in spite of continual bashing by this forum. They sent a strong FU message to the MWC last night.

I would guess, however, that Petrino will not be so interested in a BSC HC's salary and could be gone by 2018.
No doubt they will be competitive but they may lack some depth starting out with the scholarship juggling act. I don't think they'll just come out and blow the doors off anyone in BSC like their fans seem to think. Group of 5 teams do not have a huge gap in talent from upper tier FCS difference is just depth and resources.
Idaho will not be dropping down to FCS. Essentially their threat/announcement to join the BSC in 2018 is to leverage their position with alumni and fans to find a way to remain FBS. None of the players, none of the coaches, none of the fan base, and no donors support dropping down and being humiliated. Someone on here noted the expense of remaining FBS... And that's obviously a fact, but as a FCS program, they will make essentially no revenue (they can't put 25,000 butts in seats at home) and the lucrative $42.50 they get per game from BSC television deals won't quite cut it.
A tough row to hoe as an independent, especially in home scheduling. They have no conference offers other than the BSC, who takes anyone that applies. So what is this "find a way to remain FBS?"

I want a back like UPSU's Barkley. Kid is a player & he's not mammoth. Put me down for taking the UUSC QB as well. RS freshman and maybe the best QB in the nation this year.
