Curiosity is killing me, I have to ask!

Have not seen any Zag posts here the last few days. Did the poll cause changes as to if and where they can be posted? Either way, I am fine with it. I am sorry if I missed an announcement on it.

PS: simple answer is all I am looking for. Please do not turn this into a never ending unproductive needless thread!

No, I think people can still post about ZAG basketball here. Problem is, the ZAGS have been un-ZAG-like for the last two games, so I think ZAG fans have been contemplating the meaning of life lately.

Also, I have conceded the fact that any discussion on GU is likely to induce some kind of anti-catholic rant.

Griz and Zags have something in common this year. Zags playing unZAG like, Griz playing unGRIZ like. At least Zags are not falling drastically and can beat anyone on any night. Griz are very inconsistent compared to last 2 years.

This team has a ways to go. They lack the inside presence partly because the big guy wants to camp on the perimeter. He has the size to play in the paint, but I am not sure he has the mental toughness. Until Gonzaga establishes an inside threat to go with Raivio from the perimeter, they are going to get challenged in their conference this season. They are quickly losing the intimidation facot they had for several years. If some teams get them early in league they will be lucky to not have double digit losses this season. Few may get them going in the right direction and they could run the table in their league too.

Agree, GB1. But I think you'll be surprised by what Josh H. does against lesser competition down low. He's had some tough matchups of late. It seems like he gets down on himself when the going gets tough; that's bad, I know. While his seemingly lethargic play against tough bigs doesn't bode well for GU in the tourney, I think he'll do some damage in the WCC. We'll just have to wait and see if he can develop into a force against everyone. First full season......

I am not a bit surprised what he does against lesser competetiton. I have watched him several times this season. I like to watch Few Coach, you can learn a lot about the game watching him coach. Josh reminds me of the grade school bully. When he is the bigger guy, he likes to stick his chest out and huff and puff. He runs when he matches up with someone who he can't push around. Josh needs to grow a pair. If he was as mentally tough as that pip squeak guard the Zags would be tough.

Pargo is the pip squeak guard that is tough as nails!!! I seen him jumping Heyveldt (SP?) against Duke, telling him to step and the team needed him to be tough. Pargo impresses me as a leader. The GRIZ will take him for his leadership alone. Feel free to let him transfer ZAGs.

That's exactly what I was trying to say; just couldn't find the right simile. I've noticed this a lot. Sometimes, I'd rather see Mallon miss a layup but try hard doing it, than JH dunk on someone then get beat on D.
