Crack the top 25?

I honestly never thought the day would come that there would be threads about the Griz chances of just cracking the Top 25. smh

I did. Nothing lasts forever. Mighty Nebraska once went three full seasons without ever getting inside the AP Top 25.

I remember all to well many seasons when a winning record was the standard to celebrate.

I'm not saying it's the standard. It's not my standard. I want the Griz to win every f----g game they play. I want to win the Big Sky, and go to the chipper every year. That's my standard and I know for a FACT it is for the team and the coaching staff too.

My point was, that's not real life. Things happen. I was in school at UM from 1993-1997, and I remember thinking even then, wow, someday it won't be like this. I said that to myself on the plane ride home after the Griz lost to Nova too. BECAUSE things change. They changed for Alabama, USC, Miami, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Georgia Southern (1-AA), Youngstown State (1-AA), and the list goes on and on. Montana was not immune to it. As I said, nothing lasts forever. I want it back as badly as any other Griz fan does. BUT, I also have learned that I have no say and no control of when it comes back either.

Allow me to clarify: Of course they would at some point fall out of the top 25. But threads about their chances of squeaking in just reeks of desperation, IMO. Thank you though for the lecture on mortality. :thumb: ;)
