Counts, any word on injury

Counts definitely the newer version of Dan Moore, from both performance and injury standpoints.

Counts hasn't really even come close to Dan Moore performance yet. Moore had some really big games (App St., MSU). Counts really hasn't had any unless you count the NDSU game but even then, it was not a Moore like performance in terms of running production.

He looked pretty good Saturday before getting hurt. Moore had a better OL. Counts is still a Jr.

Did they shut Lwood down this season as well?

My guess with no inside information at all is that his injury was bad enough that they shut him down for the year and because he did not redshirt last year and had met all the requirements for a hardship redshirt ( didn't play enough quarters, injured in first part of the year, and not redshirted yet) that they will indeed petition for this to be his redshirt year.

He should be able to come back next year as a redshirt sophomore.

I could be wrong but I do not believe that is true. I'm almost certain he already was a red shirt Jumior. He has now played in too many games this year to qualify for another medical redshirt or hardship (5 games). A player must play in less than 30% of games to qualify for that. I'm pretty sure Counts will only have his senior year left. I'm actually glad he has that

Exactly our comment on Saturday. Poor guy can't catch a break - too bad!

Counts is a hard runner. I hope he can come back next year and play the full year without injury. He could be a difference maker in many games.

I hope he can as well, however we really need one or both of the big backs to sign with us that we are recruiting..6' 200 pounds now out of high school and I believe 2 stars......we need a big back to go to vs. 5'9 and 185 pounds imo.....

AJ posted another epic Stitt quote on Twitter.....

When asked if Counts' injury is a season ending injury, Stitt replied no it's not season ending as we plan on playing for a while.

Love it!
