Could the Seahawks be for real?

The game isnt on the final week of the season. After the Indy game Christmas eve, the Hawks play the Packers the next weekend. Itll still be a very interesting game, probably Round 1 with Round 2 coming in Detroit for Super Bowl XL. The Hawks might not have home field in the NFC locked up by then, so if that happens, look for Seattle to keep their starters in longer than Indy does.

Ahhh, I stand corrected. Colts last game will be against Arizona at home.

I think the Bears will lose to the Steelers today, though, and that will give the Seahawks some breathing room. Still might not be much to play for in the Seattle/Indy game.

Money.

BTW, Chad Eaton was saying during pregame that he doesn't think the Hawks will resign Alexander. His opinion was that they can do it 'RB-by-committee' style and that it would be a better move to spead the $ around as opposed to putting all eggs in one basket. There are going to be alot of free agent backs available this season, as well as Reggie Bush in the draft. The market is a tad saturated which might give Seattle some leverage in negotiations with Alexander.

Another week, another beatdown of a bad team. Hasselback didn't hurt his QB rating today (21-25, 220+, 4/1) and Shaun gets his 100/1. The offensive line played well as did the defensive front. I still think the secondary is suspect - I am not impressed by Trufant and think we should deal him before the league figures out that he can't cover. Carolina could be a stumbling block game b/c you KNOW the Hawks will be looking forward to the Colts. I hope they don't overlook the Panthers. If they do, we could be looking at back to back losses because Manning/Harrison/Wayne/Stokley/et al will shred our secondary.

A pretty sweet come from behind win for the Hawks over the Titans. Tennessee played hard and McNair can still get it done, plus Norm Chow calls as good a game offensively as anyone ever. I wonder what the Colts game will be like now that they lost to the Bolts yesterday. Common sense dictates that they sit their starters since they have nothing to gain by winning this game. The Hawks, however, need to win in order to secure home since the Bears beat the Falcons.

Hasselbeck still does something that mystifies me - when he is about to take a sack, he sometimes wildly throws the ball down the field just asking for it to be picked off. He needs to knock that shit off.

The Titans were the first team that I saw really exploit the Seattle linebackers this year.

Very true. Chow is a genius when it comes to calling plays and McNair gutted up and played one hell of a game. Potential playoff teams will be absorbing this free lesson courtesy of a great Titans OC.

Hasslebeck was a stud......Gave me 29 points in fantasy league. I will never start Jeff Garcia again.

Whats the mood in Seattle for this weekends big game 2002?

Seahawks lose to Colts in the super bowl

Dont jump the gun too soon. Yes, the Colts are the best team in football right now, but they can be beaten. We'll find out just how good the Hawks are when they play against the Colts starters during the first half of the game. If the game is within 10 points once Indy pulls its starters, Ill feel good about the Seahawks chances in the playoffs.

Nobody is entirely sure what to expect. After the Bolts beat the Colts, it was assumed that Indy would only play their starters for a little bit and that the Hawks would probably win going away. After the Dungy tragedy, one wonders if the Colts won't go out and try to win this one for their coach. Now, however, I see Indy is sitting Harrison for this game.

People are looking forward to the game, but it is really an anticlimax if Indy is not playing to win. Since they are sitting Harrison, I take that as a sign that they don't care about this game. I say the Hawks win by 4 touchdowns against Indy's JV.

The scenario is shaping up "not so good". Records, tragedy, etc. Could have, and may be the best match up of the year IMHO. What a stocking stuffer!

An irrelevent game tomorrow vs. the Packers. I predict a Seahawks loss for obvious reasons - we will play our JV after we get Alexander his TD, and Favre will want to go out with a bang which he should be able to do against our backups.

For playing the back-ups for half the game and to only lose by 6, thats pretty impressive. The up coming bye week will be great for the Hawks, give them a chance to get Trufant and Dyson back.

I am making my prediction right now, there is NO TEAM in the NFC that can stop the Seahawks. Detroit, start painting those endzones blue. One for the Seahawks, one for the Colts, Broncos, or Pats.

I've only been to one game at Quest, but the noise was deafening; the Seahawks do have a solid 12th man. I better get busy and see if I can come up with a couple tickets.

Roll some $$$ out of that money clip and it is amazing how fast tickets appear.

Hows the confidence in Seattle for the game with the Skins. Out in the eastern parts here some people are doubting the Hawks, but I think the redskin offense has regressed since the last time the two played.

I agree with the others that the Seahawks are nearly unbeatable at home. After the Redskins loss, they reeled off what, 10 straight wins? The Skins' had about 120 yards of offense against Tampa. I think the Seahawks will roll all over them. confidence is high in this area.

I tried to roll some bucks out of my clip for tickets to Saturday's game, but as you all likely know, the few thousand available tickets were gone in 10 minutes. I took about 50 stabs at it online, but came up empty each time. Probably not the best time to buy lottery tickets either, I'm not on a winning streak.
