Connor Thomas

It's good to see most cat fans are ok if Poole pays his dues and comes back. I feel the same for Thomas but he is one of those "problem" players on the cat team tha Ash will have allowed. If he gets into trouble again then it was Ash's decision and his program isn't as squeeky clean as many would profess.

Coach Ash's judgement has been right on in his tenure. I don't think he would allow Connor back if he had any doubts about him. I think Connor will be an excellent get for the Cat's and will do the same academically.

Yup BGF....you're just hoping and praying that Thomas ^&%$'s up in the next five years aren't you...got your stopwatch set so the second it happens you can jump on egriz and chastise Ash for letting him back on the team and giving him a chance at a good education.....what a POS.....you're one of those dudes that believe that tearing down well meaning people somehow elevates themselves or their teams. I hope Poole comes back [after a semester] and kudos to Delaney for giving the guy a second chance...I'm pulling for both of them!!!

As for Connor Thomas, who gives a shit? I hope it works out well for him.

Coach Ash's judgement has been right on in his tenure

As for this statement, wow. One only needs to take a look at the decision to take Connor's brother to show that his is a complete BS statement.

All coaches make bad decisions. UM's coaches do. msu's coaches do. It's time you cat fans get that.

Connor's brother did not get into any trouble at MSU. Ash gave him an opportunity and he didn't want to play anymore. Nothing wrong with that.

:o

Gimme a fuggin break. Anyone think there would have been less than an 11 page thread on bcn if the Griz had taken Tyler??

You cat fans. I'll give you this: you're consistently inconsistent.

What was wrong with giving the older Thomas brother a chance? Hardly a bad decision by Ash, he got drunk and made a fool out of himself, hardly unique to college kids. I think Poole and the Conner kid should both have a second chance, especially if they sit out a year, get strait a's in school and walk back on the team.

Tyler is a non-story. He came back and did great in spring ball. Then when summer camp came he lost his desire. Never did a thing wrong at MSU and did continue in the classroom.

Your entitled to your opinion. If the griz had got him and there was an 11 page thread on him on bcn then it would have looked stupid. Tyler didn't do anything wrong when he came to MSU. Like I said-he is a non-story after transferring.

C'mon. The guy was a national punch-line when he came to msu. ANY coach taking a chance on that guy had to be questioned.

Frankly, I was fine with that decision, just like I'm fine with his drug-cooking brother going to msu. But then, I'm consistent, and I understand that all coaches take chances and it doesn't matter what color uniform you wear. As I said, many cat fans need to admit that. Consistently inconsistent.

I don't think Ash has been inconsistent. He evaluated Tyler. He came into the program and worked hard in the weight room during the winter. He did great in spring ball but when it came to summer camp he had lost his desire. He didn't get into any trouble. He would have been an outstanding player for the Cats if he had stayed. It's too bad he didn't want to play anymore. I think Connor will do outstanding on the field and in the classroom.

As I said, I put the O/U at 11 bcn pages if the Griz had taken Tyler.

Consistently inconsistent.
Regardless of what those idiots say on BN both kids deserve another shot imho, especially if they spend a year out, get good grades and walk on.

Can't argue. I just find the inconsistency noteworthy.

Owe, I got ya. Totally agree!

I just don't see any inconsistency! Ash made a valid decison on Tyler. He di what was asked of him at MSU. Plus, I see a valid decision with Connor based on what he has done since he screwed up in high school.
