WORLD CHAMPIONS, I am so happy I could celebrate.

Now if the current hawkeyes could remember to play like the COLTS and a team effort all the way around, I would be really happy.

Tony Dungy, this one is for you. One of the classiest PRO coaches of all times. What a team you have built and drafted, and they respect you and it SHOWS!

I LOVE YOU, BOBBY SANDERS!!!

LONG LIVE 33!!!

always a girl hawk!

I'm still sore at the way Tony was treated here in Tampa....and it was HIS team that won the SB here too. Congrats to him on his SECOND Suber Bowl as far as I'm concerned.

Not to mention all of those stolen from him in post-season play. ><

Congrats on the Colts win, enjoy it while you can. It's hard to dislike the Colts, even if you have started a major rivalry with them over the past 5 years, when they have guys like Peyton, Dungy, Marvin, Wayne, and Sanders. I will never respect Polian though, and a small part of me still hates the Colts because of that complete jackass.

Yes, congrats to the Colts. They handed it to my Bears. It is real hard to be disappointed because Tony Dungy is a class act and he showed it after the game. I would really have a hard time trying to find a better guy in the NFL. Lovie is right up there but Tony did it the right way. I just hope the Bears have another chance to win it all in the next couple of years. Brian Urlacher deserves a Super Bowl. Nice win and congratulations again Colts.

Tony is a class act through and through.

Maybe the Bears will learn something from his patients, and his team effort and not to live off the hype, but to work work work, and I mean no harm to any Bears fan.

Who is Bobby Sanders? That's what a Cleveland fan asked me at the RCA Dome in 2005.

he's wearing a Super Bowl Ring, and I have a TON of signed shirts (as a hawkeye and COLT) and a signed COLTS helmet, pictures, bumper stickers, etc b'c I loved him as a hawkeye and I love him as a COLT. He's a football player, and he loves the game and it shows. And THANK YOU Tony for recognizing that (unlike Joe Pa and the Wisky coach) as well as Captain Kirk where he got his start as a hawkeye.

Nice burn, Reggie Wayne and Peyton. Nice game Rhodes and Jeff Saturday making them holes.

I AM SO PROUD of this whole team, and they are a CLASS organization.

be proud, Tony. 'you won it!'

always a girl hawk!

I have to tell you the grocery store I work at part-time, my last three customers were COLTS fan, and being Irish when I checked out myself the guy handed me a 'green' pin to sign the credit slip.

I KNEW THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (3 being my second lucky number and I was on Register 9, my first lucky number!)

i may be superstitious, but I am CONFIDENT it wasn't a fluke!

aside from all that, I teared when Tony spoke.

YES, it's ok to ask the angels for a win, Peyton!!!

You mean "patience", right girlhawk? As a life long Bears fan, I would say the Bears and all of thier fans know a thing or two about patience, thank you.

Sorry to rain on this little Colts/Peyton love fest, but I say screw the Colts. Peyton plays football like a whiney little girl. Did you see him stomping his foot at the official last night after that false start penalty or whatever in was? Oooh, get mad Peyton! The guy bitches and crys about any call against his offense because he thinks he is so damn perfect.

No excuses from this Bears fan, the Colts beat thier asses last night. The Bears D did all it could, they just couldn't get off the field. Thier offense didn't even show up.

This game felt like the UMass game, close game score wise but actually not that close at all. The Griz game hurt alot more for me, as the Griz are my home team and I vest so much more in the Griz emotionally.

I give Peyton congrats on the Super Bowl win, but I still can't stand that guy and I'm pissed he even got one ring. :twocents:

Congrats to the real Super Bowl MVP-----Rex Grossman. Maybe the Bears should have looked back before drafting this no talent ass clown to see that Fun and Gun QB's don't pan out in the NFL. Devin Hester spots you 7 points and Mr. Clutch misses a field goal and you can't carry your team to a victory?

The Colts O-line was superb last night only allowing one sack. Bob Sanders showed who has the biggest heart in the entire NFL. And as for the comment about Peyton being whiny, who cares? The guy is a winner who didn't need to have the win to validate his career. If you were raised into the football heirarchy that he was you would expect yourself to be perfect. The field is his work. he screws up, he gets pissed. I screw up a sale at my work I get pissed. All I know is that Peyton will go down in history as the greatest QB when all is said and done.

LOL, yes I did mean 'patience' ... sorry!!!

honestly, Peyton wasn't my favorite COLT, he was my sis's before Dallas and Bobby, but I am happy to see he got the Super Bowl Ring. He got it b'c the WHOLE TEAM helped him get it. So you can call just about anyone on that team MVP, and that gives me even more satisfaction about the whole win.

I would definitely give the OLINE the MVP trophy. Those holes for the running game, 'the patience' for Peyton to be able to sit in the pocket for MINUTES and throw what he wanted to throw ... shame on the Bears and their 'great defense?'

I don't know anything about the Bears and if they sucked or didn't, and I personally respect a lot of Bears fans so I won't go there, but shame on them for coming to one of the biggest days of their lives and living off the hype and not for what they are good at. Playing good defense and offense as well.

the first runback is a KISS OF DEATH. It happened to Iowa in the Orange Bowl and it happened to OSU this year.

Play 60 minutes for cripes sakes.

I'm just really happy that a hawkeye hero of mine, that I met and sat with at the 2004 Iowa Spring Banquet and later met up with on July 14, 2006, and I asked him, 'are you excited to go play with Dallas and the COLTS', that I got to see him make a difference. A lot of people still doubted his size, his injuries, and whether he would really make a difference, and he did. And I am SO PROUD of Tony Dungy. I thought I knew a lot about him ... I know a lot more about him know and what an awesome human being. On and off the field. His family is lucky. I wish we had more 'Tony Dungy's' all over the world. It would be a happier place!!!

I think the Iowa way and the Grizzly way is 'hard work' not so much being the BIG KNOWN team, but we get there eventually doing what the COLTS DID. Working our butts off, and it feels good when it happens!

CONGRATS COLTS!!! I am very happy for what the hawkeyes didn't get done this year, you made up for it!!! With two hawkeyes!!!

And the bball hawks beat Indiana on Saturday which was pretty saweeet!!!

always a girl hawk!

and 'patience' MidNightRambler' ... it will happen. Just a matter of time and next time they will play better now they have experienced the big game. It's all about learning, and I think they have learned from it.

Lovie deserves a little credit for class. He was not a whiner, and he should be proud.
