MBBALL Conference Tournaments

Totally agree (see my comment above). An easy call, since we don't really care about either team.

On the "hard to beat a team three times" ... found this on Reddit:

The link he posted was no longer active, but I've seen the statement before and believe it to be valid. After all, if you were better than a given team in two straight meetings, you're probably still better the third time around.

Sorry, but with all due respect, tell that to NAU and Coach Payne tonight before they get on the plane to fly back to Flagstaff !!!

What an ass kicking eh…..

Yep, and you were right on this one, Badlands, but also getting on the bus in their case yesterday before The Lady Lumberjacks got on their plane was Portland State, 2-0 against Idaho during the regular season but also 0-1 @ The Big Sky Tournament.

And I think one of the reasons we pounded Idaho yesterday was our team's own painful memory of last year beating the Shi__y Kitties 2-0 during the regular season, and due to " the half from hell," 0-1 @ the tournament and while Malik, Joe, Kai, Jensen and Austin weren't GRIZ last year, Branden, Te'Jon snd an injured Money were, plus I am sure Travis, Chris and Jay also ingrained into our team that just because we beat someone twice during the regular season doesn't guarantee a third win on a neutral court during the tournament !!!

I did think this game would be a with a slim margin of victory, and I am glad that I was dead wrong !!!

I didn’t expect that big of a beating.

McNeese (#1 seed) won the Southland a bit ago. Their overall rankings are better than the Griz, so that does not help the Griz seeding prospects when they win the BSC. As someone pointed out earlier ... would have been better if Lamar won.

Meanwhile: GO GRIZ!
