Rivers just passed for a TD. This guy is 44 yrs old and hasn't thrown a TD pass in a NFL game since '20. He was a HS coach last week. Colts were down 3 QBs due to injury. He was formerly the Charger's QB for many yrs and ended his career with the Colts.

Rivers is 10/16 for 81 yds. 1 TD. Colts are up 13 - 6 vs. Seattle. Halftime.
He is also a grandfather. Family man and religious.

An interesting thing at play here is health insurance. Philip Rivers has 12 people he has to cover and the NFL only provides health insurance for 5 years after retirement for vested players. Philip Rivers was going to lose his health insurance at the end of this season but now he gets at least 5 more years of free health coverage from him and his family. Not saying he isn’t able to afford the health insurance but it might be a smart area to save even if he can afford it.
Colts lose: 18 - 16 to Seattle. Seattle scores 6 FGs and 0 TDs. Rivers TD was only TD of game.

Crazy, I was a big Charges fan until they left San Diego... impressive he can still get out there. He was slow on his feet back then, can't imagine now.
I would have guessed it would be better grabbing some young guy off a practice squad. But I suppose Rivers knows the NFL. He get sacked?
