A bit shocking. I think he started over Mallory for much of the season so far except @ EWU. Not sure I saw him there and I think Mallory started. Will have to wait for the Sask participation/travel report.

And Mallory was the one who got blown up on the blocked FG attempt. Not sure if that used to be Colton’s spot or not.

There’s things you don’t know about that field goal that would surprise you.

Many types of mental health but as a person who has dealt with it personally, to the extreme of suicide; my hat is off to this young man. He made what was probably the most difficult decision of his life thus far, for the benefit of his own health.

Without speculating what his personal issues are, I can say with certainty that this dude made a choice of which countless people can look at with admiration, and has set an example for them to follow. The courage of this decision will far outweigh anything he might have done on the field.

So much respect to this guy, and I look forward to what he makes of himself in the future. Griz nation should be proud.

Agree with CDA. Great post ILTC, and here’s to your continued good mental health.

To you and to all: ask for help when you need it. Believe me, people care.

Thanks EG. I worded that funny. I haven’t dealt with the issue myself, but personally in my family that unfortunately resulted in suicide. Terrible to go through but offers a ton of perspective on the stuff that actually matters.

I suppose my mental health takes a little hit when the Cats lose the Brawl! ;)

I would much rather see this news than see his name in the headlines when it was too late. Wish him the best. Angel had a very interesting and raw discussion on the podcast/vlog discussing the mental challenges that he faced with injuries and the rigors of the program. We all evaluate a 3-4 hour snippet from the lives of these guys week in and week out forgetting that they all have very full plates between classes, personal lives, athletics and other factors we cannot see.

Good article. I hope he gets the help he needs and wish him nothing but the best!
