Georgia Southern enters the poll all the way up at #17. I'm a little surprised they dropped Montana 5 spots, though. Also of note, no representative from the Big Sky this year on the voting panel since North Dakota left.

Montana has more wins than Georgia State and beat them head-to-head, yet they are ranked 3 spots lower. Absolute nonsense.

Missing Akoh and Falls not taken into account! The end of the year matters more! Hopefully be at full strength soon!

Interesting games to keep and eye on Georgia Southern plays Arizona and Georgia State is Playing Creighton tonight, will be good to see how those teams stack up against the two big-time opponents on our schedule this year where we are clear underdogs.

I think they might have taken Akoh and Falls injuries into account, and rated us as we are right now. I don't think we would be Ga St without Akoh

Georgia State getting destroyed by Creighton right now. 75-46 with ten minutes left.

Im a big Zags fan as well and Zags can score and Zona hung with them defensively for a long time, which means Griz are going to have to work hard to score against Zona, so if we play like we have turning the ball over a lot, getting killed on the offensive boards, Griz don't really have a shot. We would have to play Defensively like we did the first 10min of the half against Ga. Southern and not wait till 2nd half to have guards go to the rim. and the type of D that kept us close against Michigan last year. Our D has not been bad per say this year, but I haven't seen the turnover forcing suffocating D of last year until 2nd half of last game. I think we really miss Kriz down low a great fundamental big body that was never giving up space he wasn't supposed to.

I just saw Creighton plays Gonzaga on Saturday. Maybe they will devote more attention to prepping for that game and overlook the Griz.

Good point! I'm sure Creighton believes (as they should) that the Zags are a winnable game for them.
