Anyone else watching College Game Day? Lee Corso is literally having trouble speaking. Not sure if it is age or what, but he is REALLY struggling.

He always has issues... did he have a stroke or something recently?

He had a "minor" stroke in 2009. Although they claimed it did no permanent damage, I think it's safe to say he is not as sharp as he was before the attack. From what I've read, he still works very hard to prepare for the show. (Like any color guy, you can agree or disagree with his opinions -- that's part of the fun.) Anyway, if he has lapses -- and it sure looks like he does -- it probably has more to do with fatigue.

Yeah, that's too bad. He was here in GF for the triangle classic a few years back.
Must have been pre-stroke because he was a very sharp engaging guy.
GREAT storyteller. We all get old though.

We noticed it last week. He really struggled at the beginning of the show. Still fun to watch we just love the WSU flag and its tradition. Very cool stories on you tube about it.

Question. Has anyone ever gotten a Griz reference on the show? A sign, rant, clothing? We've been watching for years but we DVR it so we skip a lot of it, especially the SEC love/bullshit.

I remember seeing a GRIZ flag a year ago or two when they were doing a show in Eugene, OR for a ducks game.

A little off topic but still national tv.

Corso says he's "recovered pretty good from my stroke" largely because he's cut all his ESPN duties except GameDay. "When I rest, I can talk. When I don't rest, I can't talk."

The guy is just so passionate about football. I think the combination of his excitement and the stroke side effects lead to his speech issues.
