Coaches show 10-23-2012

Ellis Henderson is coming up after the commercial.
so far Mick talked about und having a very good offense #2 or 3 in the country. how the team isnt blaming eachother or the coaches and how they arent going to make any drastic changes.

Given the results so far, is not making changes the right approach? I guess I'd suggest something needs to be changed.

UND isn't ranked as high as Delay said for offense. In fact if you just look at conference only games (before they played the Griz) they were near the bottom of the Big Sky for most offensive categories.

Kind of disturbing that given the results and WTF moments there are no plans for big changes.

for anyone who missed it and wants to listen to it, the recorded show is at:
http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/26389614

there may be some static early on since i was having issues finding a good spot at my house for the radio where i would get good signal. after i found a spot on the very back corner of the desk with the antenna almost out the window it seemed to clear up.

the previous coaches shows can be listened to at the ustream.tv link in my signature.

So you're saying the players should not stick together? They should point fingers at each other and have in-fighting? Yeah, that's a sure-fire way to fix something. And NO, there is a HUGE difference between accountability and finger-pointing. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!..

Not to mention, with a faction of Griz fans, the 2012 Griz are screwed either way. Whether they make wholesale changes or not, IF they beat Idaho State, there will be posters who say the only won because ISU is really bad. So, with some of you, it doesn't really matter what the Griz and Mick do at this point.

I'm about 100% sure the head in the sand pic is for the "no changes are going to be made" thing.

And that's what I'm saying, it doesn't matter what the Griz do with some posters, they'll only say ISU is horrible and the Griz should win anyway, so why does it matter to some if changes are made or not? IF the Griz win, and the same exact gameplan defensively that gave up 660 to UND is used, it will just be the same old neggie crap anyway.ISU is bad, Yost sucks, Kramer is suspended, Yost threw picks, (even though turnover margin is a huge factor), it was windy, we have a recruitng edge over ISU...ect. ect. ect. Point is, with some, at this point, the Griz can't win no matter what they do.

No one said what you said....

As for the changes, maybe against ISU it's a good time to try something at least slightly different so we can hopefully figure out a way to salvage a somewhat OK season instead of possibly ending up with our worst record (and first losing season) since 1985...

Basically it boils down to no one is saying or implying the things that you are saying.... your preemptive attack on things that just aren't being said is kind of strange and the definition of a straw man argument.

For example:

So you are saying you love losing and wish the Griz would lose more often and never try to make any adjustments to their game plan when something obviously isn't working?

See how that works? :)

Don't some define insanity as those who keep with same course of action over and over again yet expect different results.

Well, some of you may want to turn away then because Mick stated in today's press conference "I still believe we're doing the right things. I believe we're coaching and playing the right way. I believe that with all my heart."

So do some of you ACTUALLY believe that our coaches don't have different gameplans every week???? If this is what you think is happening by watching the games than you know nothing about the game and your opinion is equivalent to the Mom that sits behind you in a High School game complaining about the coaching.

This board is fvcking unbelievable. Some of you, somehow, in your warped minds also believe that Rosenbach isn't running an offense he is "comfortable with"

Stop embarassing yourselves

Exactly!

Maybe Mick is just doing coach speak (and not wanting to let on that changes are being made). That's what I'm hoping anyway...

I can't believe how worried I am about the upcoming ISU game. I'm not worried about ISU's somewhat non-existent defense.. I'm not worried about their running "attack"... I'm worried about Yost... The guy averages about 380 yards per game passing... We'd better be able to get pressure on him...he's a pretty damn good QB just playing for a really shitty team. We've been making good and mediocre QBs look like Peyton Manning out there lately though...

I still think the Griz will win fairly easily, but I have this nagging little doubt in the back of my head because of the numbers Yost puts up..and because of the numbers our defense gives up :/

Henderson has became one of our most promising young players. The recruiting process sure is interesting but I know that Henderson "choose" to leave Hawaii. He still had scholarship intact and received another 4 or 5 offers before deciding to come to Missoula.

Baker and Pflu deserve all the credit for this one, too. 20 year old Freshmen who still has redshirt in pocket. This kid is a Pac 12 level athlete. I have followed this kid from day one. Mick is definitely right about the fact that is a really really really good player!

I've met his father. The Henderson's are really good people. We were fortunate to get him.

Reminds me of John Conlee's song, "Rose Colored Glasses."

"But these rose colored glasses, that I'm looking through

Show ooo.......nly the beauty, cause they hide all the truth"
