Coach Schillinger headed to the SEC

I have three names that we should pay attention to (definitely could be more):
-Tucker Meyer: was a grad assistant for us then moved on to Mississippi State as a grad assistant. Previously was a coach and player at Rocky. Familiar with our unique defense from his time with us and Mississippi state who runs a similar defense.
-Colt Anderson: might be a long shot but if he wants to come back home and still coach this would be that opportunity. Would be a bit of a pay cut.
-Tim Hauck: little over qualified but he’s not currently working. Chance to come back home and coach with his brother.

. . . . any word on former Idaho staff members Mike Breske and Vernon Smith? Have they found new jobs, or are they interested in coaching Montana ?

The main shock will be not competing in a real playoff for a real national championship. It’ll most likely be a Toilet Bowl watched by more people than the FCS NC game. I give my sincere congratulations to Coach, but I hope he weighed the draw of the FCS playoffs into his decision.

I LOL'd

If we're just wish listing. I'd chase down these two. That's a lot of talent just bumming around Montana. http://campmartypodcast.com

Exactly. He could have coached for a natty at the FCS, D2, D3 and NAIA levels. What in the world was he thinking 🤔?

What can you expect from a kid that grew up really close to nordakota

Zach Arnett is the DC at Miss St. Thats the dude Bobby really wanted to follow him to UM from SDSU to be the DC. He instead became the DC at SDSU and now Miss St. He knows what Bobby is trying to do defensively. Makes a lot of sense why Bobby wants Shann to go get some different experience there.

Are you implying Bobby is directing this move?

So happy and sad at the same time.

Prepping Shann to have a shot at the next DC.

I would say next HC. After Bobby retires. If Bobby was going to retire next couple years the stick around . If Bobby plans on staying 5 plus this is a smart move. Along with making 2 to 3 times as much money while raising a family. Shann will be the next head coach of the Griz.

DC under BH first. BH will be HC for several years. He's a young 57.

I would say at least 5 years. I would be surprised if it is 10 years.
