Coach Sampson, now AD Sampson

(Havre) In Frontier Conference News Head Coach Mark Sampson of the MSU-Northern Football team has taken on additional responsibilities as Athletic Director for the school.

That's great for fans up North! We might have a GREAT coach for a number of years to come! I predict another great season this year, and a deeper trip into the NAIA playoffs!

This is typical for schools below NCAA D-I. IT's been known to happen at a relatively few D-I schools, but it's rare there because the responsibilities are HUGE. Sac had the VB coach double for a while after the incompetent Judith Davidson was fired. However, even Debby Colberg found the jobs to be too much together in D-I, so she dropped the AD duties. For whatever reason, though, when a coach doubles as AD, it's usually the FB coach.

BTW, could you imagine BH as UM's AD? Or even worse, Cosmo over at MSU? :laugh:

Sac should actually consider having their football coach double as the AD. They'd save money and its not like he could be any worse at a job
