Who will be following this? I bet I will be burned out in less than a week on this. I am not a fan of Clemens or any of these guys handling the "steroids" ordeal the way they have. With that said though, I honestly am not for our tax dollars going towards things like this. To me makes sense to use the money for more important things to better America.
Seriously, I don't care what anyone puts in their bodies as adults. It is not any of my business. As adults, we are all capable of making our own decisions. If an adult wants to ruin themselves long term with Steroids, cigarettes, liquor, drugs, etc, that is fine by me. It does not impact me, or those I care for. Just whatever it is, don't push it on kids, and accept the consequences for doing whatever it is.
If our tax dollars are going to be used for athletics, how about using the money for better amateur athletics, and cleaning up collegiate sports? More scholarships for different backgrounds and interests to go to school, etc.
I really don't rationalize our tax dollars being spent for this BS over more important issues. Thoughts please.
Update: Let me rephrase this. I don't want people getting away with perjury at any level. I just feel in this economy this could have waited until our economy can better support these kind of trials.
