Heard Will is doing everything he can to get back and is DETERMINED to play against UNC on Saturday for a chance to host the conference tourney. Sounds like this kid will not be denied and is ultra committed to this team.

The news continues to get better. I expect him to dress Saturday, and will likely be a gametime decision. But even if he doesn't play this week, I expect the team to play better. The practice time without him will also be an advantage whether we host or not.Hopefully he will be ready to play by Saturday, but if it is questionable I would hope that Coach Tinkle will keep him out of the game despite the possible outcome. If the ankle sustains another injury and we lose Will for several weeks our chances of winning the tournament take a significant blow. While it may mean sacrificing hosting the tournament I like our odds a whole lot better with a healthy Will Cherry than without.

It's only bad luck because Montana since 1997 has won the tournament @NAU, @MSU, @PSU, @NAU and @WSU. If not for the Griz, home teams would have a much better record in the Big Sky tourney.

you kittiens should be more concerned with making the tournament than worrying about who hosts it. You are luck PSU isn't eligible or you would not have much of a chance the way your team is tanking

You can say that again. I watch the last few minutes of the cats/unc game and the cats look just bad.

I will be surprised if he plays. If he does play, I hope both ankles are near 100%. One ankle has been hurting since Oregon State. I think the GRIZ would be best served to suit him up, and see how the game plays out. I think he is too valuable for our NCAA tournament chances to risk returning so soon. I would rather have him for the Big Sky Conference Tournament than this game tonight.

And frankly, that might be an all right thing. If the Griz can knock off UNC without Will, it will be a huge confidence boost when the host the tourny with him.
