Years ago I got to know Don Read and had the opportunity to ask him about football. He boiled it down to this: If a team can get pressure on your QB and backfield with the front 4 defensive players, your in for a long day. If he could get you to blitz to get pressure, then you are in for a long day. Still accurate today.

Don't you think that everybody has a tendency to characterize the other guy's fans by cherry picking the most egregious idiots out there . . .

People cherry-pick but they don't do it consciously. Something about other people's message boards makes the sane posts almost invisible and the insane posts the ones you notice and remember.
