Oh I see what you did there. You pointed out that the CFL has different rules and then gave it a "or whatever, see how much I don't care about that secondary league" thing. That is clever, you are like the next George Carlin or Dennis Miller.
Ignorance of other systems is not an encouraging thing from a supporter of a supposed engineering and practical science school like MSU. Makes me scared for what your illustrious petroleum engineers will do when they encounter the metric system. Though it's no surprise that a CATS fan wouldn't know what a TD is worth. With your returning offence get used to not having to know what a TD is worth.

Easy now Sask... CFl rules are ridiculous. If the CFl put pride aside and made their rules more like US FB (those folks that invented football), they would pick up a huge group of US fans struggling through spring/summer sports. Canadian pride runs deep though eh?...

"The very first modern football games were played in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 13 and 14, 1874, between McGill University and a squad from Harvard. This “foot-ball” diversion, as Harvard’s Magenta newspaper called it, was still in its infancy, and the rules evolved even as the match progressed. In fact, the Harvard squad so enjoyed the Canadian innovations (running with the ball, downs and tackling) that they introduced them into a match with Yale the following year—and thus, college football took root in America." Sounds like maybe we both invented it, and since I'm a dual citizen it actually sounds like I invented it.

Laughable! The team salary cap is $4.4 million, the average salary is $83,000 and the rookie minimum is $45,000. These numbers are in CDN dollars.

There are only there are 40 roster players per team (53 total) the salaries are still ridiculous.......

Yeah the league just signed a new tv deal for 42 million a year over 5 years (I know peanuts in the states but big cake up here) the players want revenue sharing and yet the six owners (two of the teams are community owned like the Packers) are unwilling to budge and it looks like job action is going to happen.

$45K to $83K is not much when you consider the fact that each time you step on the field could be your last....Thanks for the info.
