Cats have better QB , Kicker, Coach, President

Cats have a much better QB , place kicker, Head Coach and President. Delaney is a nice guy, but not a winning coach. He should have put TM in at QB during the 2nd half. TM is a much better runner, needed when the defense bottles up the pass. At least give TM a shot to see what he can do. S-H is a pitiful runner, and not a great passer. And Griz need a place kicker, so trips to the red zone are not wasted as they were today.

Another game a good coach (Pflu) could have won, despite these problems.

Not much can be done about these problems with current UM President. Engstrom has screwed everything up for the Griz. First Griz losing football season, 5-6, since 1985!

Thank you dips**t Engstrom!

The good ole days are not likely to return for a while. Time to become a BB fan.

Any coach could have won that game.....it was only 17-6....Mick included. Missed field goals take the momentum away.....think the game would have been different if he made just one of those two misses? Shit happens in close games like this. Could have gone either way....as it should be.

And the Cats hold your offense to 7 points! After the first qtr and the Cats adjustments on defense it was all over.

Two great defenses, but MSU a little better. Two average offenses, but MSU not one dimensional.

Lider will be fine.
Yeah, I think so too. He DID have a rough game today, but I kept reminding everyone around us just how poorly the likes of Carpenter and McKnight kicked as freshman.

I don't think the Cats defense is better at all. The Cat offense is better, they have much better coaches. The Griz had many chances to tip the game in their favor but like many times this season they didn't get it done. The Griz are young and hopefully will have a much better coaching staff in the near future.

Yes, see other thread...Lider had better % his freshman season than Carpenter, Snyder and McKnight.
Yup, Lider hit 71% of his field goal attempts; in their first year, Snyder and Carpenter converted 62% and McKnight only 56%. They all turned out just fine.

That may be true, but I don't recall any of those kickers missing so many short field goals and PAT's during their freshman seasons. Of course they also benefitted by playing on Griz teams that made it to the end zone frequently.

If Cruzado is a better president, that could be scary.

It is very scary. The duration of the Griz mired in mediocrity will be lengthy with Dork Engstrom as President. I am sure he is pleased that he has put the football program in its place, and he could care less about the careers of two good men that he ruined.
