Carroll v. Portland State streamed live

Final doesn't surprise me bit! The gap between Carroll and PSU wasn't that wide. Chance was the best player on the field, Van Diest was the best Coach on the field and the best defensive player (Strobel) didn't get to play.

This should prove to all the doubters what those of us that watch a lot of Carroll ball already know. They can play with the bigger boys ... and play quite well. Kudos to Van Diest and the entire team!

I watched this game, and boy the second half was ugly. If you were looking for some offense, you couldn't find it. It looked like games from my Frontier Days. PSU is not very good, Nigel Burton may have a good thing going but they aren't there yet. Carroll's D was swarming to the ball but couldn't get their own offense going when they needed to. Plus their SP were atrocious.

Carroll played very hard, but I think this game is an indictment of poor PSU looked and played as opposed to how good Carroll is.

This seems to be the token argument for any upset or close game by an underdog. I don't buy it. Football teams play bad because either they are that bad or the opposing team makes them play that bad. Carroll held its own against a middle of the pack Big Sky team that was considered even a darkhorse BSC contender by some people. Stop making excuses and give credit where credit is due...

After watching them play, I do not believe they are a middle of the pack nor darkhorse contender.

PSU beats Carroll by 18, EWU beats Idaho by 17.....perhaps the frontier conference would be a better fit for Idaho than the big sky.

i'm wondering where all the guys that said PSU would win 56-3 are now? hopefully the Saints earned some measure of respect from big sky conference fans. time will tell how good PSU will be but you can definitely see the talent is there.

Kinda funny how some are calling the EWU 17pnt win a blow out, and the Saints 18pnt loss a close game?
