Carly Selvig - a great shot blocker

The Lady Griz are really lucky to have Carly Selvig back. She has blocked 29 shots in the
last 4 Griz victories. In the two tournament games she blocked 10 last night and 6 tonight
and (if I read that right) didn't even make the all tournament team. Have the Lady Griz
or the men ever had anyone do that? By the way the Lady Griz are the top shot blocking
team in the nation averaging 7.3 per game. WOW!! Way to go Ladies!

She's 3d in the nation in blocks, only slightly out of 2d. 4.2 per game.

As I mentioned on another thread, not only has shot-blocking going to another level. Her rebounding has also taken off which has been something that hasn't been her forte previously. In fact all the ladies were going to the boards hard. It would have been hard for voters to vote for her on the all-tournament team as she didn't score but as you can see from the game score that was not needed from her.

I thought she got a 7th last night? I thought it was pretty amazing though that on Friday she pulled off a double double with only 2 points.
