Career night for Griz Recruit Gus Chase:

TOUCHDOWN

Well-known member
Gus had a career best in Sheridan Colleges 94-79 win over Northwest College in Powell, WY last night. He had 39 points on 17 of 23 from the field, 12 rebounds and was 5 of 5 from the FT line. Sheridan has now moved into the number 20 spot in the national rankings and is now 19 and 2 overall. I new Gus had this kind of game in him and Northwest is a decent team so it was not against some patsy of a team.

WHOA!!!!!

39? That is great to hear! good job TD. It seems like those JC teams play every other night or three times a week.

With Gus's 60%+ and Andrew Strait's 60%+ shooting percentage, Griz will be quite tough inside. I am getting even more excited on the future of Griz BB.

Ha! St. Paul Academy is my alma mater! I never thought that I'd see them mentioned on a sports message board. It is hard to describe how much better a hoops program DeLaSalle has than SPA, so let me just tell you this, SPA has two wins this year and they are against the following teams:
Minnesota Buisness Academy
Community of Peace Academy
With names like those, they can't possibly be good, right?

This is not to detract from Rundles at all, because I hear he's a good recruit who picked the Griz over schools like Creighton, but he wasn't exaclty playing top flight competition in this recent win.

Forgive my ignorance, has Gus committed to the Griz or is he just on their "watch" list?
