Can't wait to see this recruit tearing up Wash-Griz...

In regards to Dale Kennedy, he's a good BSC coach. However Chris Wilson wouldn't be running in the BSC if he started out with track right away. When it comes to track, coaching is huge. It's the reason Patrick Casey isn't at MSU anymore. Next time, try to educate yourself a little before you spout off your idiocy.

Casey was ranked 11th in the nation last year. This year he is ranked 39th.

So because he's fast he doesn't want to be a Griz??? Guess I don't know why many are so pessimistic on here. Geez...you'd think we had a traumatic off season........... :o

He is coming to one of the premier programs in the western United States. He is lucky to have us, not the other way around.

Oh I understand...my point was making fun of the people on here talking about him wanting out of his scholly and "I hope he stays" garbage...all because he's fast. I believe this is the guys that his dad or uncle or someone got on here and said that HG is very loyal and the Griz offered early so he stuck with us. San Diego St came in too late he said. I think this is him. I haven't taken the time to go back and check.

First off, this kid is freakishly fast for his speed.

What does that even mean?

For clarification, I know Chris Wilson is doing well right now (just won conference) but him choosing football was a mistake. He could have been running track at a better university with better coaches. Just my opinion though.

I agree choosing football was a mistake. Injuries didn't help either. But Dale Kennedy is one of the best coaches in the region. Don't pull the whole university BS just because Chris decided to play football first. You wouldn't even be close to saying that if Chris had started with track and not football.

Sorry, I meant that he was freakishly fast for his size.

Yeah, you're right. I know nothing about MSU athletics or have ever followed any of the coaches here. I'm sure you know all about the Patrick Casey situation better than I do. What was I thinking? Educate myself...

You may think what you like. FYI, I did my undergrad at MSU and I'm friends with the majority of the track athletes there, including Casey. I've been to track camps with Kennedy and I've seen the way other track coaches coach, to be quite honest with you, he's nothing more than a good BSC coach at best.

He ran a 4.38 at a combine this summer... Along with a 40" vertical and a 3.9 shuttle

Well, since I have a vertical of about 8", maybe 10" if I'm jumping up for a cold beer, I'm impressed with the 40" vertical, not to mention the 4.38 in the 40. Herbert sure has a great package of physical ability and I for one will be looking forward to seeing him in action on the field.

How open is he to playing safety, or RB? Can he support 240 lbs well, without losing much speed? It is nice to know, we may have the fastest LB in college football. What other LB has ran this fast?

He didn't get offers from most FBS schools because of his grades and SAT.

Why not go to UM? We kept JR Camel eligible for how long?

BINGO!.....We have a Winna!..

I would be more concerned about the kids 3.0 Cali highschool GPA translating over to Montanas weather/culture /increased educational :ugeek: demands, than his 40 time.....

It has been noted that Mr Gamboa hits his max speed at around half way through the 100 meters, very early for a 100 meter sprinter, so it would be of no suprise if he does run around a 4.4.

:ugeek: I Hope the kid geeks up when he gets here.. :ugeek:

Cheers to good study habits...
