Did I miss it (was watching on TV) but I do not think I heard the cannon go off when there was a score.
Was it there and did it go off?

Yes. I remember hearing it at least once, VERY LOUDLY !

It was there cause every time it went off my little niece jumped pretty good and said" wow that's loud"!!! And she said it multiple times, She really jumped at the 5 minute mark of halftime when it boomed to let everyone know it was time to get back in the stadium. She is 8 years old and just loved her first of many to come experiences of a Griz game .

We were just getting back to our seats in the NW corner and it made me jump too!!

Speaking of cannons

I think the ROTC crew was still knocking off the early-season rust. I noticed they were a little slower to fire the canon than normal, which may be why you weren’t catching it. A couple of them seemed like less powerful shots than normal.

Is it just me or does the cannon seem to be quieter than it was years ago? Might also be where we are sitting but it does not seem to boom like it has

They had some shots last week that were a little weak, but they also had some loud ones. Stay tuned for this week. I hope the Griz score so much they have to cool the barrel down! Maybe grab a gator and powder his behind!

Is that in place of their ineptitude on one occasion that could have resulted in player injury? Rearranging a bunch of mats and ignoring what was going on on the field, that is. Which I surmised as another example of irresponsibility taking themselves too seriously and ignoring all the rest, routine. Service oriented not included. Very OSHA approved behavior pattern there. Vocation designed to serve the 'Common Good,' but we can ignore all that, I guess.

Don't mind the sarcasm.
