Can This Team.....

Can this team rise above yet another disaster and win the next two football games? It has to be difficult to always be under scrutiny and then perform at a high level because that what is will take to beat both weber and msu. I have always felt we had the talent and had it not been for a few misques we would be contending again but we did and we're not. Joey Counts showed what the future has in store as well as a great group of receivers. The defense is beginning to show resiliance. I just hope for all of Griz Nation the few seniors we have left along with the younger kids can pull themselves up by the bootstraps and win the next couple of games. I really feel bad for some of these kids and hope they show the character and integrity I know they have. I'm still on board and hope the thousands of other Grizzly faithful are as well.

Go Griz!!

I'll be back on the 17th to see another beat-down of MSU. I suspect Dan Moore will be back, too.

Without JP and Kjelby, Weber has a shot. The Griz ALWAYS seem to find a way to play poorly at Weber. Not to mention, the atmosphere at the game is going to be awful with no more than 3 or 4 thousand in attendance. But, Trevor Poole won't make a difference against the Cats. The Griz will be just fine for that game. Schmaing has been ready to start all season.

your right, weber is always a tough atmosphere being nobody goes to the games! but i have to beleive this is a team we can crush much like UNC and ISU. We have LOADS of quality players and are going to lay a beat down on the cats, and like a previous poster said, if dan is back........he is going to be like a griz that has not eaten in months...he will punish the opposing D

GO GRIZ

I think the Griz CAN win both remaining games. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen ... but I will be cheering them on for all I'm worth.

don't bet on it, in all liklehood Moore's career as a Griz is over. I hope I am wrong, but the prognosis is not good.

This team can win out the rest of the season and could well have won every game played this season if not for a few plays and some coaching errors. Go Griz, run the table.

I've been to quite a few games in Ogden. Your estimates of attendance are about half of the actual figure. Griz games draw 8-10 thousand. Stadium seats about 20,000 so it looks like lots of concrete, skewing the estimates. Guess there must be something else to do in the SLC metro area. Something about that place that just sucks the potential out of visiting teams, especially the Griz. Weber is a lot better than their record shows, and they are improving. Beat SUU at Cedar City, and ran up over 500 yards on Cal Poly. The are about 60% pass, but that should improve against our secondary. This game will be close.

We have the talent to beat any FCS team in the country. I also think we match up pretty well with both WSU and MSU. I'll be looking for our team to keep improving and build up some momentum going into next spring. Go Griz!

Could have, would have, should have. But they didn't. That's why we play the game! TO WIN.

Turnovers, missed opportunities, and things that didn't go the Griz' way. That's just the way football goes. I don't know how you think you can run the table based on what you've seen so far. There have been some mind-numbing losses to some pretty average to bad teams. Good teams win those games, bad teams don't. I'm not underestimating the talent the Griz have (with the exception of DB and corner), but it may well be the case the NAU, App State, SUU and the Cats are all better than the Griz. Could you admit that? I will give you that EWU isn't better than any of those teams, but they found ways to win the games they played with the exception of SUU. That's the difference - they didn't make the mistakes and made the key plays that the Griz didn't.

Can you admit to this?

Table for 2? That's funny!

Oddly enough, the Cats haven't lost in Ogden since 96. Just a weird factoid for ya.

Weber has had a tough schedule, but they are a decent team. Should be a good game.

Can they? Yes. Will they? Who knows. It has been a pretty poor effort this year from Griz Nation. Coaches, Players and Administrators have really fallen flat up until now. We will see!

His estimate is closer than yours. If you check the facts you would find the following attendance data for the recent Griz games in Ogden:

10/30/10 6782
10/4/08 3753
10/21/06 5424
10/2/04 5139

Ave. 5275 or about 20% of what we get in Missoula. Typical pathetic BSC attendance outside MT.
