Maybe they are getting the most out of the roster. Maybe the recruiting isn't quite as good as a lot of us think. It's either that, or the staff is in over their heads and not fit to coach at this level. I don't think anyone has suggested the latter. One thing is for sure: it has to be one or the other, and not a combo.

I asked this somewhere else but can you remember a time where UM had a starting QB and two of the better receivers as frosh? With 2 Soph WR starting? And on D- 2 Frosh and 3 Sophs starting? And most key backups are underclassmen.

I know that todays American society is "I want it now" and that most Griz fans are really impatient.

I just hope Stitt is here through next season, that will give all of us a chance to see this for what it is.
Is it the climb to the top or a average hire...
But to bail out now and look for a new coach would put the Griz back in a new system and hurt team for more years.

Logic A very rare quality on this board I applaud your sentiments I don’t know if Stitt is the guy I do believe firing and hiring another coach could be very problematic for incoming recruits and getting the new coaches system in place would take a minimum of two years, with no guarantee of a return to dominance Let’s see how this year turns out before we skewer Bob with the pitchforks This weekend could be very telling for the remainder of the year We are about to see how resilient this team is

I think has good recruits. I don't want him to get fired and have to do this all over again.....but I think he has a couple weak links on his staff and it showed up last year down the stretch and seems to be the same this year. I hope Stitt can be a "head coach" and put on big boy pants this year and will make the staff changes. Afraid if not, he will go down with the ship and we will see the dreaded reset.

Young roster and some good players out with injuries and others playing with injuries Phillips, Bingham, Strong, Sandry, and more.
There seems to a short roster being played.
Rodriguez and Jensen shows some of the depth. There has to be one or two more players on the roster that can help in the secondary.

Often receivers with cement hands can become great DBs........i think we might have a few we can spare among the 20 receivers on roster
