Cal Poly Predictions...

Griz 34 (4 TD's, 2 Snyder FG's)
Cal Poly 13

The Griz D line will be too much for the Cal Poly Option attack, forcing several fumbles/turnovers. Cal will revert to the air attack and have little success going deep.

The offense will continue to gel. I hope to see Ochs in action for the first time, with the O-Line giving him nothing but time to throw the ball. The option will make an appearance from time to time, starting in the second quarter.

Thats how I see it... anyone else?

I agree that Cal Poly can't get the running game on track and struggles to throw the ball, while the griz offenses finds its "bearings" and continues to improve upon last weeks numbers.

GRIZ - 37

CAL POLY - 10

I too hope to see Ochs in action, and watch the number of passing calls increase.

This week is in the bag. The last time I was in attendence at Wash/Griz and saw the Griz lose was the Hofstra game.....wait, there has only been two home losses after that?.....my bad.

OK. This year we keep the option under control. If Bobby thinks it may be the single greatest play in football....than I am sure he has spent plenty of time thinking about how best to stop it. We hold the ground game to around 100 yards. They pass in the second half and do well...mount a come back....but too much too little.

The O will be intersting. With DD moved back to tackle....it seems the Oline is in better shape. Will we see Ochs? I hope so. Will we see Garth back at center? Will we see Connor Malloy? Will We ever see #37 for the Griz? One thing seems certain.....we will not know until game day.

2 weeks ago JR went off....last week Green killed people....this week will be Lex Hilliard's turn. Lex goes for 162 yards. Hartman gets the start...goes 2-4 for 35 yards...than Ochs comes in, I pee my pants from being so excited, and he goes 15-19 205 yards...his first pass is a beauty to Talmage for a TD! And The Griz roll early.

Final Griz 41
CSLO 17

BillyBear and LumberBroker have this one down ...... Cal Poly has had their running game stopped in three of their four games ... and they had to try to mount an air attack with little success... in those games they had more yards in the air than the ground....and should have lost two more of them...I am predicting a blow out... not even close.... AND WE WILL SEE Ochs.....

DA GRIZ - 48
Poly - 13

Ochs is biting at the bit. He stated in an interview with the Rocky Mountain News he expected to be back for Cal Poly. Will they start him? I don't know. Will he play? I'll bet.

Ochs passes for two TD's, Talmage and Heidleberger.
Green runs one in from the five.
Snyder gets three field goals.

Montana 30
Cal Poly 17

Don't think we will see any option plays this week, Cal Poly will be expecting it and they run it so their defense surely knows how to defend it. We may not see it again, who knows?

My prediction: Griz 44 Cal Poly 24. Craig Ochs throws for two scores in his Grizzly debut.

I'm gonna call for a 17 pt win. Not gonna predict a score. Just a margin of victory. Pretty much to test the Sagarin method thingy. Nothin better to do. The home team is supposed to be given 3 extra points over the rating they have. The difference in the two teams ratings is your point difference. As far as I understand it anyway. But what do I know?

Griz have a rating of 67.61
Cal Poly has a rating of 53.56
+3 home team points

Not so fast my friend. Cal Poly has a tenacious defense and enough offensive weapons to keep the game close. I like the Griz because of the home field, but closer than the experts expect.

* Corso puts on Monte's head now.

Montana 21
Cal Poly 17

So I can have the Griz -4 for how much?

Griz will win this week. Score: 45 - 14.

Ochs IS practicing. :D With a boot of some sort. Disney is also practicing. Expect to see both QB's playing this weekend.

I don't know what style of play to expect from the Griz, but I think most of you are underestimating Cal Poly. For the most part, this is a shot in the dark

Montana 31
Cal Poly 21

If all the Silvertip skydivers hit the Grizzly on the 50 yd line, then the Griz will win ~ 51 - 13

Connor Molloy over the middle for 1.
Jon Talmage will get 2 more.
The "D" will get 1.
...and the rest is a little cloudy in my crystal ball, but it's there.

Oh... and the band will either play "Proud Mary" or...I'm going out on a limb here, the theme from "Rocky".

:2gunfire: KILL CAL POLY ! ! ! :rocket:

GO GRIZZ ! Don't forget to vote for Monte today !!!!

I agree with Hammer. Won't see much of the option this week, as Cal Poly runs it and runs it well, so will be practiced on defending it.

Here's my dream  scenario ... Expect Hartman will get the start and play the first series. Then during the first TV timeout, who come trotting out of the tunnel from the locker room, but MR. OCHS. He immediately enters the game and passed for a TD to Talmage on his first play. Ends up throwing for 4 TD in the first half. Griz go up 42 - 7 at half. Ochs sits the second half, allowing Disney to enter the game and throw another TD.

Griz cruise to a 64 - 14 victory :D !!!

Actually, don't know who will start or if Ochs will play. But, predict a Griz win 34 - 10.
