Cal Coaching Spot Opening?

Just speculation at this point but Cuonzo Martin is getting mentioned as a possible candidate for Mizzou. If he were interested in that job and was offered it then a spot would be presumably open at Cal. For UM basketball, hopefully, they wouldnt be ready for TDC to return there quite yet. For TDC sake if it opened for him he obviously should take it. Anyway hopefully he can guide us through the BSC tourney this week and into the NCAA next week and for years to come

Another speculative possibility for that opening at Mizzou is Lorenzo Romar of the UW Huskies.

I guess the only good news is that the team is only performing decently so far which can change this week. I really want to see TDC coach next year's team. I don't think UW will get rid of Romar yet. He has MIcheal Porter, Jr. coming in who will be the 2018 number one draft pick.

Actually I believe LoRo will be back as well principally because Udub can't or won't pay him the $3.2M buyout it would take. But the bigger issue for him is what good does it do to recruit Top 10 players that are one and dones? Clearly it is impossible to build any continuity in a program (even if it is only for a couple of years) that is necessary to go deep in the NCAA's. Generally (unless you are Kentucky) your players typically need more than one year together in order to find that chemistry necessary to compete long-term and consistently.

I don't see TDC ready for a PAC12 job, and Tinkle's struggles so far wont translate well for him, as Wayne had much better success that TDC as a Grizzly HC the last few years of his tenure.

At this point, I don't see TDC leaving. Right now, the coach that is impressing me and others, is Fish, the guy at MSU. Not only has he built that team from scratch but gotten the two top freshman in consecutive years and is getting some good chemistry going.

Well if TDC is here he is going to be coaching a very talented and more balanced Griz team next year.

Well Fish and his boys lost to the worst team in the conference last night. And there are rumors that at least one of those two freshman of the year is leaving.
Have you ever watched Fish coach? He acts like a screaming idiot on the sideline. Glad we have TDC and the Cats have Fish.

Those rumors have been there for 2 years

I watched UW a couple weeks ago in a close home game vs. Arizona State. What a poorly coached bunch of prima donnas that team seems to have. I see they are 2 - 16 in the Pac 12 with the possible #1 draft pick on the team. How can that be?

Romar has to be on the hot seat regardless of whether he brings in another "number 1" pick. I hope Dorsey plays like a "Griz" and not like the "Huskies" I watched that night when he suits it up next year. They lost by 2 and showed absolutely no sense of urgency or toughness down the stretch.
