BSC vs MVC 2016

The Big Sky has some interesting conference match ups this year. We will go against the Missouri Valley 7 times, including two by EWU. They are all pretty even match ups except for the fact that 5 of the 7 are at MVC home venues. We also will play 6 games against the Mountain West, some of which are winnable games by the BSC opponent. On an interesting side note, there are 7 games slated against D2/NAIA programs, some maybe winnable for the lower level schools. Go ahead and predict the MVC-BSC games and if you feel like predicting the others, feel free. I'll update the final score of these games to give us a good look at how our teams match up in head to head competition.

Eastern Washington @ NDSU.
NDSU wins 31-13. For obvious reasons.

Northern Arizona @ Western Illinois. NAU 27-21. NAU's high powered O will be too much for a team learning a new offensive system while replacing a good bit of their O despite a deep seasoned D. NAU's veteran front seven will be enough to protect their rebuilt secondary.

Montana @ Northern Iowa. Montana 38-35, déjà vu from last years MVC foe. I think our passing offense will score enough against their rebuilt secondary to overcome what there high powered ground attack will inflect on our untested but, hopefully talented D.

Weber St @ South Dakota. WSU wins 20-17. WSU returns 17 starters(9 on O and 8 on D). USD's running game returns and a new playoff experienced coach is taking over but the D just has too many question marks in the beginning of the year.

Cal Po @ South Dakota St. SDSU 31-20. SDSU returns most of their O and the front seven should be stout. Cal Po's D lost a lot of starters from a poor D last year. Their O is always dangerous but I don't think they will keep pace.

North Dakota vs South Dakota. UND wins 31-17. Another ruff game for USD vs an even better BSC team and will be more of the same for them.

Eastern Washington vs Northern Iowa. Eastern Washington 38-35. More of the same for UNI in their second BSC game in two weeks. What might have been a winnable game at home, won't be so easy on the red turf.

-Portland St vs San Jose St
-UC Davis vs Wyoming

Losable D2/NAIA games.
-Sac St vs Western Oregon
-UC Davis vs Southern Oregon, I know I picked UC Davis to possibly upset Wyoming also but remember, Wyo is picked to finish last in the MWC and is a very bad team. Southern Oregon is the #2 ranked team in the NAIA and after all, that's why they play the game. Any given Saturday anyone can win.
